Winter coats and jackets

I don't know who made it but my mom gave me this kick *** black trenchcoat that she got back in the early 70's. It needs some repairs though.

I bought my winter coat on thursday...its a grey (very this season) one from H&M its gorgeous. Its mid length, so just covers bum love it!!! i just cnt wait to wear it now...come on autumn!!

i need a nice coat that's mid length..i have a long black coat and a tan trench, they're nothing special, the trench i actually got at a second hand store and was in great condition. im going to search for another coat lol..

Too bad I don't have any winter coats It's sunny here all-year-round! Only a few cloudy days in winter .. The only time I would buy coats is if I were to travel in winter to somewhere cold, and that's rare.

well, i have a CK coat from two seasons ago in black wook with a HUGE collar! very much like the white one gweneth paltrow had while she was preggers with the apple bump, but mine is princess cut and streamline. I found this awesome diane von furstanberg vintage full length circular skirt trench, which i cant wait to use, and this woodside trench coat i just got from anthropologie.com

since i live in the land of the 'nipple-fresh', i have many, many winter coats, mostly vintage.

some faves:

new huge black firetrap parka with furry hood
Vintage black wool cocoon coat with nipped in waist and shawl collar with embroidery
full length black astrakhan
plush fake fur 1950's long leopard swing coat (hard to not look Pat Butcher in it though - always needs stockinged legs and a delicate dress underneath)
sage green 1940s swing coat with ocelot collar
black wool coat with leopard collar and cuffs
black belted knee length cashmere Max Mara
black and white mohair check cape
ann-louise roswald cape jacket

I haven't even broken them out yet though, as i am still doing the between season jackets. last year i retired a thick Ralph Lauren navy wool peacoat which was my best jacket ever . . . need a replacement for that.

one day i would like to own a classic max mara camel coat - a bit mature but v. classic

I dont really do coats I layer cardigans and shawls and wear the occasional Velvet Blazer but I do own a 2years old Joseph trench which is fitted and nice..very Oceans 12.

I picked up a velvet peacoat w/ silver buttons, Im in loooove with it, I love the clean, tight silhouette and the material is sooo luxe and the lining is gorgeous. It doesn't hurt that it's warm either.
