Winter coats and jackets

I love all the coats from Zara posted in this thread (all of them!). But the real question is, are Zara coats warm? It is oh so cold and snowy where I live.

Because I live in Canada I have several.
-black mexx wool trench
-beige mexx trench
-short black Gap peacoat
-hip length black peacoat (want to change the buttons on this one)
-vintage suede with fur collar
-Winter White kneelength
-Columbia Sport Coat
I think I need to buy a colour next time

I'm not sure whose coat this is (Marc Jacobs?), but I saw a knock-off on eBay and love it. I've been too busy moving to try and find the real one, but I've been adoring it since I saw it, and I'm hoping to find it soon!

Diorling and aris, I don't doubt that you are correct in regards to coat being Gaultier --but I think blueskies and I must have seen the same coat on ebay, because I also remember it being listed as Marc Jacobs!! Grrr...that ebay vendor needs to get their info straight.

Anyway, the--ahem--GAULTIER coat did catch my eye as well.

No investment in a new winter coat for me this season (unLESS I happen to see something I cannot pass up ).
I'll continue to rely on my trusty set that's gotten me through the past few years!

they were just called "vintage capes" from the begining,they're obviously vintage inspired. L.a.m.b. also has other clothes with vintage in the name ;the vintage corset dress etc.

I wasn't going to buy anything this year, but I'm tempted to buy a back-up of my favourite coat (which I bought 4 years ago) since it won't last forever... I think it's so supremely elegant and luxurious somehow (the material and cut is fantastic) but still very subdued. I'm not sure if it's an RL staple, or they re-issued it, but I will wear my old coat this winter (as well as other coats and jackets, of course)...
