Winter coats and jackets

some lovely choices asta, i share the Dries coat, the last military look (who is this from?) the Marni and the miu miu looks

seriously, i think coats are so much hotter than jackets for this comming season ... i need some

lena... my all time favorite clothing items are coats... outerwear...

the last look is from chloe's fall line... i think it is a resort... bridge line from chloe.com.

all of these looks came from f/w 2004 collections.


the dries is one of my favorites... i wanted to put the green chiffon caftan in the list... but i didn't... my other absolute favorites: the cream derek lam outfit. and the miu miu coat with leather cuffs.

of course it was a miu miu not a Prada (the one with the leather half sleeves) so i edited.
this military Chloe, looks very yummy and totaly modern.. plus i forgot to add the Martin Grant ecru coat, one of my faves from your post

the collar on the martin grant coat is amazing. as is the color!

i love the neckline on the chloe...

I really like the Prada Mui Mui double breasted coruroy coat. I don't like the price tag of 499.97 though

I just bought a similar one from Coach yesterday.... not belted or double breasted, but it has buckles and looks alike.

this is beautiful. I love military style coats. I have a gorgeous mid-calf length vintage cashmere "soviet chic" coat - double breasted with large gold buttons and belted. it was custom made for someone who I think had my exact measurements because it fits like a glove, but it's insanely heavy - when I put it on it feels like it weighs almost as much as me so I don't know if I'll be wearing it much.
so I don't know what kind of coat I'll be buying for the fall...I really want a military style because they're versatile and work well with my look. I have a hard time finding coats in my price range that fit properly though. even size 2's (XS) hang off me. the sizes all seem to run illogically big...
