Contempary art breaks barriers...in fact I have a good friend who is an art critic who believes that art breaks barriers by definition...I don't really think that writing fairly tame obscenities on a t-shirt is artistic auteur...

Can I get a AMEN? (priest in training)

thats your opinion, and unless I am mistaken you are not the one and only authority on what is and is not art.

By the way art critics are usually failed artists. Tell that to your friend. thos who can do and those who cant criticize. Make your own shirts if you dont like it.

Micoture, it wasnt criticism, it was an oppinoin, an opinion that is shared by many here. But please could you answer my godamn question! How much, what material?
(pardon the blasphemy, priest in training)

Excuse me if I don't think Jake & Dinos are wetting themselves because someone is about to write a few swearwords on a t-shirt...

To answer your questions the shirts are made of cotton jersey - pigment dyed fine guage - very soft and luxurious (for a tshirt). The uncensored shirts will retail for around $60 , there is another line with censored saying that I will share later. Soon my site will be up with images and you can see the actual product on live models, but for now you will have to use your imagination.

Prince what dinos and jake think is the same as what you think irrelivant.

Thanks, $60 dollars for an obscene tee seems like a lot but I wont judge your product, especially before Ive even seen it. Sure its not the kind of thing I would wear, but I dont wear dresses and I dont shout at people who do!
Just one thing, making a tee shirt is one thing, calling it art when the principal is already widely done is another.

Well I wont educate you about art but not everything in art is new and never done before, we all have limited materials so eventually everything is done again over and over - i mean who would think to paint on a piece of canvas with paint - ive sure you have seen that before - but it has been done millions of times and will be done a million more. Using words in art is a relatively new concept and will continue to be explored by many artists as language plays a major role in our everyday lives.

agree

and some are offensive

I find this thread interesting. I was actually wanting to do something similar to this a while ago. It was going to be in the same veign as Vanessa Beecroft's presentations/installations. I wanted to put labels on the people that I knew that described the type of person they were, that you can't tell from a first impression. You know, your one sl*tty friend would have sl*t, your friend that drinks too much DRUNK, etc. I thought it would be an interesting way to tell the world the type of person you were on your chest for the world to see. I don't know if I would actually wear it to the grocery though. I think the racial words are WAY too much. Offensive is one thing, but the N word is just disgusting as are the others. Ironically enough, I used to have a shirt that said ******, but I didn't pay $60 for it.

I would wear ***hole

oh yeah micouture i love your topics!!! please do create more!

God be with days of 'I'm with stupid' followed by controversial arrow. I wish I had invented such an easy method of insult.
