it's clear that sketches could not make this happen. it wouldn't turn out this way.

as a fashion designer, he attempts to make something finite. but simultaneously his imagination always longs to go outsides itself. it wants to effuse. the border wants to fall overboard. it's a charming imagination which fails to imagine itself. the artist in him doesn't like any limitation. sketching, plan, defining, form, contour, etc. instead, unlimitation is the concern (or dream) of the artist, who refuses the finished and makes yohji say that garments are the most beautiful in toiles at the basted fitting. also maybe that's why he takes a chance on the after presentation in their movement, even if they are done.
