...blogs are the best thing that has happened to fashion in years! the rise of the indie journalist is much more consumer centric and based in reality.. which i love!

There are a few I love, mainly because they are not just reposts of editorials and random photos. I like the blogs with a personal and more accessible touch, and how fashion fits in with that, so i think Flying Saucer and Park and Cube are good for that. I also like Cocorosa, Fashion Hayley and Le Portillon, for very different reasons. There's some blogs that make me feel slightly inadequate, but I still end up reading them.

Besides the classics (Style Bubble, Kingdom of Style, et al), I really really love these:

Dreamecho - thoughtful, creative, and fond of dance poses for her outfit pics (and she's living proof that you don't have to work in the fashion industry to enjoy dressing up- she's an electrical engineer!). Doesn't update every day, but it's well worth it when she does.

Libertylondongirl- like with dreamecho, I have the privilege of being blog buddies with LLG. She's an English writer and fashion editor who moved to Manhattan (she's now in New Jersey) and she writes not just about fashion but everything- food, travel, going out...it's brilliant really.

fashiontoast- I first read Rumi's blog after Kingdom of Style did a post on her, and she's practically a blog classic in her own right- though most people know her for her outfit pics, there's a dry humour to what she writes - when she does write- that keeps me pretty well hooked.

Wendy Brandes Jewelry- Wendy is a jewelry designer from New York, and her blog is, quite simply put, one of the funniest things I've ever read- she writes about fashion, jewelry, her life, and history, among other things, and it's hilarious.
