Your Predictions: Style.com's Top 10 model list for Spring 2007

^ I don't agree with that... I think Tanya made a far greater impact this season than either Coco or Mariya did. But, I think the list this year will only exist of breakthrough new-faces. Basically because there were so many of them this season!

My first ten options are:

Cecilia Mendez
Olya Ivanisevic (opening it-girl)
Iekeliene Stange (doing all the shows)
Alana Zimmer
Denisa Dvorakova (the Paris bomb)
Magdalena Frackowiak
Agyness Deyn
Chanel Iman (biggest black girl of the season)
Bruna Tenorio (doing only all the highest profile shows)
Anna Mikhaylik

There are more options (like Egle, Evgenia M. or Maryna) but I don't think they will make it. Also don't think Suvi will be on there... she only did Prada.. they never put someone up who did one show.

Alana Zimmer
Bruna Tenorio
Cecilia Mendez
Han Hye Jin ( who did so much better than Du this season)
Chanel Iman
Ekaterina Kiseleva ( her Calvin Klein exculsive in NY is bound to get her noticed by the people to make the list)
Iekeliene Stange
Daiane Conterato
Coco Rocha
Suvi K

Isn't Suvi Koponen is the girl from Mallikoulu season 1 or finland's next top model???

I wish they put Rosanne Doosje on the list... I'm also routing for Freja

But Rosanne didn't do any shows this season, so she won't be on it

I was so waiting for this thread to begin! I'm having a really hard time figuring out this list, because there have been so many brand new faces this season. Not to mention that so many of these new girls are really becoming influencial on the runway. Anyhow, this is my best guess at Style's Top 10:

-Iekeliene Stange
-Daiane Conterato
-Bruna Tenorio
-Alana Zimmer
-Chanel Iman
-Magdalena Frackowiak
-Lara Stone
-Suvi Koponen
-Han Hye Jin
-Ekaterina Kiseleva

This season is particularly hard because there are a lot of girls who have been everywhere, but to me just aren't as influencial. For me, the first five girls in my list are for sures. There's really not a list in my head that doesn't include Iekeliene, Daiane, Bruna, Alana, and Chanel. The next five girls are what's really confusing to me. I can easily see Lara and Suvi being replaced by Cecilia and Agyness, really depending on the taste of the editors. Magdalena I feel is absolutely on the list due to the YSL opening. Then again her spot could be taken by Marcelina, Denisa, or Maryna. I'm also worried that Han, who was at all the right shows this season, might be eclipsed by the Du Juan sensation of last season. The dark horse for me this season is also Kinga Rajzak who much like Han is not in her first season, but was at a bunch of high-profile shows.

Anyhow this is my best guess, though Cecilia Mendez is the one most likely to upset my list.

What do you mean by this? I'm just curious. I think Han should probably be on the list. I knew she did a lot of shows, but I just checked Style, and she was at a lot of the big shows (Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc, Gucci, YSL, Valentino, Dolce&Gabbana, and Chloe today as well).

As for Cecillia Mendez, I just checked runway mayhem and this was her show list for NY/Milan:
Alexandre Herchcovitch, Alice Roi, Aquascutum, Atil Kutoglu, Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Chaiken, Christopher Kane, Diane von Furstenberg, Doo.Ri, Ellen Tracy, Joanna Mastroianni, Jonathan Saunders, Just Cavalli, Lela Rose, Marni, Michon Schur, Mila Schon, Nanette Lepore, Oscar de la Renta, Peter Som, Proenza Schouler, Rebecca Taylor, Reyes, Ruffian, VPL, Verrier, Yeohlee.
It's odd, I swore I saw her at more shows. She really didn't do that many big shows.

Iekeline Stange
Daiane Conterato
Mariya Markina
Tanya Dziahileva
Chanel Iman
Alana Zimmer
Svieta Nemkova
Suvi Koponen
Alison Nix
Eva Helene Skarvig

Coco did really well too but she was on last season's list, right?

I was waiting for this thread ^_^

Note: I'm not necessarily fans of all these girls look, but their success was undeniable this season..

in no particular order

Top 10

Lekeliene Stange
Ceclia Mendez
Daiane Conterato
Bruna Tenorio
Alana Zimmer
Chanel Iman
Olya Ivanisevic
Maryna Linchuk
Ageyness Deyn
Ekaterina Kiseleva
Han Hye Jin
Denisa Dvorakova

OK... so thats 12 girls.. sorry there were way too many new faces this season :D

My personal faves of those girls I listed above are Bruna, Alana, Ekaterina and Denisa

No mention of Irina Lazareanu, Ines Crnokrak or Behati Prinsloo? All three walked a TON this season, and Irina's had two big W eds in a row.

This list is really only for new faces of the season, girls who have had a breakout season, Irina had her breakout last season and she made the list last season... they hardly ever repeat girls.

F/W list was something like.. Anna Mariya, Mariya Markina, Irina Lazareanu, Du Juan, Coco Rocha, Tanya Dziahileva, Leah De Wavrin, Behati Prinsloo, Rachel Alexander and I can't think of the rest..

I figured I should explain, because I wrote the original post in a rush out the door. I was worried because the Top Ten list should focus on new faces ideally, and this wasn't her first season. Han was in a few really good shows in FW06, but since everyone was on a Du Juan kick, I wasn't surprised that she didn't make last season's list. My worry is that because she debuted last season under the cloud of another successful Asian model, that she would be overlooked for this season's list. If that makes sense? I for one am a HUGE fan of Han Hye Jin, since she took her walk down the Marc Jacob's runway last season, and I agree that she should be on there. I'm kind of just playing devil's advocate and throwing out reasons what she might be overlooked this time.

For those who were wondering about the list from FW06 it was: Anna-Mariya Urazhevskaya, Behati Prinsloo, Bette Franke, Coco Rocha, Du Juan, Flavia de Oliveira, Irina Lazareanu, Leah de Wavrin, Mariya Markina, and Rachel Alexander.

I also agree with Charlotte that this list should really be for new faces. Especially since the Style.com title for the editor's picks encourages "new faces." Tanya Dziahileva was actually on the SS06 list, so while I think she had a tremendous season, I really feel like they won't list her again since she's already established.

If so, then Ines should def. make the list. This has been her break out season. She walked most of the shows in NY and has done almost 40 shows so far.

I think though besides YSL, Moschino & Alberta Ferretti (according to style.com at least.. sorry if I missed any other BIG shows) she has been notably absent from all the BIG shows in Europe. Maybe if it were another season, but the competition this season is too much.. waay too many faces who have have logged many many more high profile shows.

Not sure if Denisa Dvorakova will make the list, she hasn't really done that many shows, but she really has been doing the BIG names like Prada, Chloe, Chanel, Burberry..

Who knows though.. maybe she will make the list.. we'll just have to wait and see :D

^ She also alked in D&G and Dolce and Gabbana, Emporio Armani, and Vivienne Westwood in Europe. She wasn't at Prada, Chloe et al, but I still think she deserves a place considering that she barely walked at all last year. And what about Cecilia Mendez? Did she walk in any big shows in Europe, because I don't remember seeing her?

i think mia (forget her last name) will be on the list too
she was discovered by alber elbaz himself, so she only did his show, but still

Yohji Yamamoto, John Galliano, Chanel, Giambattista Valli, Alexander McQueen, Dries Van Noten, Akris, Burberry Prosum, Marni, Bottega Veneta,

And I know we're not talking new york, but she opened Oscar De La Renta which is a big deal of course.

I'm not really that huge of a fan of Cecilia and I'm not even sure if she will make the list, but her distinctive look has given her a good amount of buzz and I personally think she is more likley to make the list than Ines.

LOL, either way, Magdelena Frackowiak MUST be on that list, or I'm protesting. She was everywhere this season in all three cities.

I don't think she walked that many big shows did she? There were a lot of new faces this year that did very well, but opening YSL will help her case.

I think Daiane, Bruna, Iekeliene, Olya and Alana are definite locks.
