YSL Belt

I couldn't find a thread for this and i am IN LOVE with the new large YSL buckle belt. I finally got my hands on one today...patent black. Any other TFSer's as crazy about these?
I would also love the patent nude colour.

I'm in love with it too morriseel I've ordered them a couple of times but i've had such trouble with size because my waist is very small, they always get the wrong size for me, i'm dying for the patent black one like you have or the blck croc skin, though that nude one is delicious too!

I think everyone adores the YSL belt- it goes well with almost everything. Too bad I can't afford one , but I'll try and get my hands on the H&M one (haven't seen it).

Boots it's from the line called 'clothes' at H&M I got mine hmm maybe a month ago..best of luck on your search

I've seen the h&m one once but there was one left and it was a large, topshop also did a copy a while ago but it was suede and floppy, i didn't like it, i wanted a structured style, but they have just came out with a more stiff version thats in moc croc if i recall correctly, but like the ysl its always too big, it'd only sit on my hips not cinch in my waist.

I also heard miss selfridge had done a copy, but everytime i've been in there has been no sign of it at all, so frustrating, even if i could get a similar design that fits like the ysl i'd be happy.

By the way Hanne your h&m one looks fantastic

Hi Diorella..I got size 80 and im right in the middle hole of it...i must have a very average waist size! I hope you get yours real soon! I had trouble getting mine too. I was supposed to be waitlisted, yet they would never call. But I know they got more in and just forgot about me. This time i went in about something else and they just got it in so i reserved it. By the time i went back to buy it they had a waitlist for it as long as your arm.

have any of you noticed the 'degression' of the belt throughout the ysl collections? it's been getting smaller and smaller since its inception... it's as if it's disappearing! ... but my favourite incarnation remains the spring 2005 super-wide version.

I like this belt. I know Pucci wanted it ages ago too. They had copy version at topshop and Miss selfridge a while ago.

I agree Brian, the smaller belts dont look as great as the bog oversized buckle.

I was actually thinking of starting a thread yesterday on this belt.
I have the black 2005 fall leather one. I love it! I'm not sure sure how to wear it. The problem is that my work clothes have to be quite conservative, I usually wear Dolce Gabbana pants suits. Most of the time I need a jacket in order to appear appropriate.

the pants are usually low rise, so it is impossible to wear it with them.
I have 2-3 pencil skirts that might go with the belt. But what else - with a coat? over a shirt?

aris you could wear the belt over a cardigan as well
