I may just stick with the current Muse - it seems more streamlined. The side view of the Fall '06 looks like it's got too much going on. Then again, it could just be the way it's carried. The frontal shot looks good tho!

Thanks for the pics They have a square muse now but I think it's a bit different than the new fall one. I preffer the round muse, I'm afraid the new one might look a bit too briefcase-ish? I do like the faux croc or whatever that leather is though.

As ar as I remember the side view of the new and current muse are very similar if the shoulder strap is taken off, but I could be wrong...

when I talked to the manager she didn't mention a new shape...so it has to be a new style period...

Dunno ... I was just told the pre-fall Muse will be the same shape, but it's being changed for fall. I suppose the rep could be mistaken and the bag is really called something else?

just called the manager. the muse like the mombasa is here to stay in the same shape...the other bag is another style in the same family.....and she is going to call me back on colors!

So the colors I gave yesterday are coming in the classic style as we know it oversized muse!

I know. I thought it was weird. I never call BG, NM, or Barneys SA for future info...they never have it right. You have to call the store direct and talk to a manager....

....so colors soon of the new style if they are ordering it!

OKAY here is the deal. The new shape from the runway...is called the Rive Gauche Bag. Its a new shape made of chevrette leather. Its softer and less grainy.

It comes in 2 sizes. A larger and smaller size. I am pretty sure the larger size is the runway size.

large 1495 and smaller size 1395

Colors are black, grey, and chcolate. The smaller comes in a forest green.

The print looking one on the runway...is a zebra print croc for 15,000.

There is also an east/west bag. No info on that.

So we have the muse as it is and this new shape.

guccigal, thanks for the clarification. i bow to you....you are definitely a muser! i'm loving the rive gauche also. but i'm glad they are keeping the muse the way it is!!! hmmm.. better start saving now!

^there is a men's muse but it came out at the same time as all the original muses. It is square in shape but a lot simpler than the one on the runway. It also has short handles instead of the longer straps on the womens.
