I think this bag is fabolous and totally loving it more than the previous muse bag

i haven't seen this bag IRL though and i think this one bag deserves it's own thread as i know some FS member also been eyeing on it so we can gather all the info or more pics of this one

this is the only info i have on the bag from a member in another forum from the SA :
The SA showed the pics of the bag a couple weeks ago and referred to it as the "new Muse." It will allegedly be available in two sizes, and come in blue, camel, black, and burgundy. The price of the bag is i rage from $1695 to $1895 with the solid leather cheaper than the embossed suede.

the all leather one kinda reminded me of one of the non-motorcycle balenciaga bag some times ago

i called my sa on friday about this bag, and got on the list for the large colorblock one...
the official name is Muse II...
she's not sure when it will be in stores, but she gave me info on the sizes/colors...

L: 15x7, $1895
M: 12" x 6", $1695
S (or mini) with shoulder strap (didn't ask about dimensions/price)

the one kate is carrying will be $1895/$1995

for spring, it's coming in the 2 colorways shown, plus all over black and all over navy...
for fall, it's coming in all over camel, all over black, plus another 2 colorways...

Oh my my my I've been looking at this since the ads came out. The one Kate is carrying looks absolutely divine. And I need a new bag but that price is a little step...

Hmm. Have to take this under serious consideration. I love how slouchy it looks.

emma_peel, looks like only you and I are the only who don't like this new Muse.

This bg just doesn't speak to me and it's a bit too slouchy for my tastes (although I do like some slouchy bags, this one isn't cutting it). I love the structured look of the old Muse, and that's where my heart lies.

Okay, it was 20sF and yet I marched my way to the YSL boutique to see the sample.

It is gorgeous in person. The sample is the one Kate Moss carried. It was b/w the Balenciaga city size and the work size. I will wait for the medium to come in to make a decision.

The bag is slouchy because the lining and the base (the exposed white edges) are canvas. There is one big pocket compartment inside with a zipper. The better part is that there is a large compartment on the back side of the bag (outside) so that will be where my WSJ and FT go!

The top handle is quite sturdy and large enough to be carried on shoulders.

The bottom is very structured. With three or four "spines" made of leather for extra support and four metal feet.
It's very different from the muse. While I can't imagine myself carrying a muse to office, this new bag makes the cut. It looks close enough to a structured work bag yet it stands out.

The suede is really gorgeous. I know that it is difficult to keep it perfect but I will talk to my cobler for his suggestions.

i decided against the all navy one, just because i have a balenciaga city in ink...
i really wanted something different from anything else i own, which is why i went with the colorblock (burgundy/navy/black) one...
i put my name down for a large, but i might want a medium instead...

the canvas background actually makes the bag pop. it's awesome.
I have a Bordeaux B bag so I won't go with the burgundy combo. The one in the Kate Moss ads will likely be the winner. What do you think about the suede issue?
I'm going to buy this instead of the EB Balenciaga bag from SS08. This bag is more office looking to me, and as you just said, it's very different from whatever we own

i liiiike... looks nothing like the original muse though. it looks kinda like the mulberry picadilly bag or a balenciaga...one of the non motorcycle bags that's a patchwork of different colors.
