Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2006

i see the big black belt is still there.......i wonder when it will go away, 'cause i never really liked it. it's just too much 80s feeling....

the matador look is very YSL:heart:

i wish if there are more colors for the romanian blouse, to match with cruise spirit.

I love the original YSL romanian blouses with the velvet pants:heart:   YVES is a truly master, I wish if he is back ,I miss his days:cry:

are there more pics for the cruise collection beside the 4 ones here??

Those Romanian blouses are soo lux, they just ooze it.

Everytime HC week rolls around I hope that the YSL will do a surprise show, that would be amazing.

those vintage ysl blouses are so 'now' right?

no, there are no more ysl resort looks i'm afraid, we are lucky to be able to see those few looks as it is.. luxury houses dont particularly enjoy spreading their 'private' collections on the web

call me old fashioned or anything but theres something seriously unoriginal about this collection. I love the 1st gown and the beige look but still i dont see anything original

maybe because it is a small private collection as lena mentioned above, so it doesn't have to be something really groundbreaking, it is chic, beautiful & YSL...thats it.

& yes lena these blouses are so now & tomorrow, as most of YSL's creations:heart:

that couture collection was inspired by Henri Mattise's painting of the Romanian Blouse

Yves always refers to Mattise as the artist of happines, I adore the art & the colors of both of them:heart: .

The menswear-inspired black outfit with the sheer blouse is alright, pilati's ysl and thysken's rochas and alber's lanvin all remind me of each other a bit...

i want it...
i want it all..
and i want it NOW......

...
*very surpriseed to see the belt for the third time around now...
but i am likeing it better now, i admit...he seems to be using it better now, in terms of proportions...

kimkhuu...
i also remember that not everyone was so 'thrilled' with the FIRST collection pilati did...
however this PAST one f/w 05/06 (the one lena seems to be talking about)...
was VERY well received by most...
i think everyone generally agrees now that pilati is in the right path...
but people were not really loving the short dresses from the first spring collection i remember...(even though i did...:D..)

taz -thank you so much for the matisse pic...
another of my faves as well...:flower:
simply wonderful...
thanks for the topic kimair...

ps- if you look very closey at the pics of the ysl runway show...
i believe you will notice a model wearing 'culottes' with her lovely blouse... :innocent: ...(that is my inspiration..!!!)

I know! I can't wait to spend my money on this! :P
Seriously, Stefano Pilati is great for YSL. I love YSL so much more now than with Tom Ford...

just imagine ur self walking in one of the above romainian blouses, they are very feminin
I like the cut of the blue oneB)

Pilati's too retro. The 3rd look in post #2 looks like it came right out from my mother's closet.
