I saw the patents in the store today and I love the look of the patents. Our store here doesn't carry the burgundy patent though.

Still I feel that my wardrobe doesn't work well with the XL muse. I'm only 5'2" and always in short skirts or capris and I find the Muse works best with taller people or someone who wears long pants/jeans. And I only like the size of the XL.

kare, the "burgundy" patent muse is actually the chocolate patent muse. when you call the stores, ask for chocolate patents. it does look burgundyish under particular lighting. it's very pretty!

Is the oak color more red than the chocolate? It looks a little lighter and more red in the pic above. Could someone who has seen the bag explain the difference in the two colors? I have contimplated the chocolate but it does sound like the oak may be a good alternative- a little different. Does oak come in XL? TIA

The oak is a yellowisy brown. The one above is dark brown/chocolate.

I'm concerned that the color will be a little off in real life. It seems like one of those colors you have to see in person to judge. Hopefully it will be here in September!

I really want a xl black muse but I don't know if i should get the matte black or the patent. patent's huge this fall but I'm not sure if it would work year round......hmm decisions

Also, does anyone know where I can get a black patent one online besides from shirise?

Jessica Alba does have a Muse (Chocolate Oversized), but the bag that she is carrying in the photos that you linked to is not a YSL Muse.
