i believe this is the large size...

i ordered this and will have to see it on me to determine if it's right for everyday use...
i am pretty small (5'5", slim built)...
i generally don't carry oversized bags everyday...i do think they look a bit ridiculous imo...
you get dwarfed by the bag...

for my money...
this is the best bag out there!!..by far!!!...
i can't wait to see it on you!..
i really hope it works!...

I have the chocolate patent Muse in size large. Bought it on the phone from the YSL boutique in San Francisco when they first got it - in June. I LOVE it even though I haven't carried it yet. I know it's the large because I have the med. Muse in ivory (I've been carrying that one alot).

did you preorder it during the trunk show?
that's what i did, but the SA wasn't sure if it was coming in medium or large...so i got the large...
but i haven't gotten a call saying it's in...

i'd actually rather have a medium than large...

Klow, your black patent bag is GORGEOUS!!! I have been looking for, well, forever for a bag that would fit all my work-related items and I think an oversized patent muse is the way to go . Although black would be practical for work, I'm dying to see the chocolate patent .

Thank you balbabe - the oversized muse suits my need perfectly I can put all my work-related items in without carrying an extra bag.

No, I didn't pre-order. Another tsf-er posted that she had seen it there and I called and ordered it sight unseen because they have a 10 day full refund return policy. When was the trunk show? I got this one around the middle of June from the YSL boutique on Maiden Lane. Since I have 2 Muses, I like having the two different sizes. I hope you get a call soon!!

HI SHOPPING!! I've missed you. I haven't been on much - just lurking here and there - I've had ALOT going on. BTW - thanks again for the tip on the Muse - I adore it, it looks like liquid chocolate - makes we want to take a big bite out of it. I've pre-ordered some burgundy patent Manolo Blahnik sling backs that I think will go really well with it without being too matchy.

I got my Muse in from Saks online today. Oh my god, the patent is even more stunning in person than it is in photos--it has a glossy sheen, but it's not too ubershiny and plasticky looking. It's beautiful! If you haven't made up your mind about whether or not to take the plunge, DO IT. The Oversize is huuuuge, but for some reason it doesn't look too silly--I think it's because of the simplicity of the bag. I love the size, color, leather, EVERYTHING.

Muse Sizes

Can someone tell me how big is a Muse in Small vs. Medium? TIA .

koukanamiya--I haven't seen the medium, but the small is TINY. Like a clutch. It's cute, but the design just doesn't fit the size, imo.

Anyway, I finally took some pictures of my black patent! Thanks for all the congrats. The leather is just amazing and I'm already getting compliments. I saw a lot of other Muses at Neiman's, like the calf hair and green, and IMO the black patent just blows them all out of the water. Sorry for the photo quality--the flash washes everything out and makes it look ultra-shiny, and NOT using the flash makes it look odd and yellow. Trust me, they don't do the bag justice.

It's also starting to slouch nicely already! You can't tell as much because I've got a lot of stuff jammed in there, but the leather is so lovely and soft.

I've been wearing it a lot even though it's my fall bag and it's still summer. I can't help it! I'd post pictures of the bag on me, but I'm way too camera shy

My only (quite minor) gripe is that while the inky black satin interior is pretty, it's kind of hard to find things in there in a hurry.

i called the sa and she thought i wanted the medium, because i was looking at another style in the medium and i said i preferred that size...

so they don't have a medium yet, but they do have a large...
now i'm torn as to which one to get...

i'm going to have to go see the size in person...if it's too much for me as an everyday bag...
i really don't have to carry that much on a daily basis...
