^ I think the lining in Mango is worse. It's always falling apart.

yes...
i would be really curious to see the balenciaga "inspired" dresses as well..

i went there today and tried on the dresses...

this one was $149...
it has a weird blouson dropped waist that wasn't very flattering...
it has a ruched halter neckline with an exposed back zipper....

this one is $129 and more flattering...

^ When I went I never saw those two dresses.
Everything is WINTER clothes even though it's still only August

That second one is a lot nicer, and as you said a lot more flattering.
Did you buy it?

^ i didn't get either...
i like the pattern on the first one more, but the cut just wasn't as flattering...

i really went in there to see if they had the marni-esque dress...

^ I saw one marni-esque dress actually in two colors, brown and grey.

the knitwear is soooo soft... but the cardigans I saw were going for $69.. a little much for zara cardis! I didn't check out the tag but I'm expecting it to be some cashmere blend.

Are you talking about those lovely oversized grandpa cardigans?
They were too expensive for me too, but they were so comfy looking :(

thanks for humoring us and trying them on and taking pictures kimair :flower:
i'm glad you passed...
neither one is really worth the money imo..

a zara is opening up in the newly renovated and expanded mall about 20 minutes from my house so i'm excited to go check things out and see what they bring in when it opens in a week or so...

I have tried yesterday the balenciagia blazer knock off, it's a nice jacket but the cut is very slim. There was only size S left and I couldn't button it up! Well, I have to take a look at our other zara store, if it got size M.

the REAL balenciaga jackets don't button past the top button either though...
that's the look...
^_^...

kimair...
my zara got the jackets...
but later than the european stores...
keep checking - it may still be coming to a store near you...
:flower:

I also asked about the knockoff prada heels and they have already sold out... they're restocking next week (SF zara on post). I wish they looked a little more like them though... I am head over heels in love with the original design and may have to resort to saving up for the real deal.

hm okay, but anyway it was very tight and I wore only a top, for fall/winter time I will wear sweaters, pullovers and so on, so I definitely need M

I think their lining is as bad as Mango...[...] I have to looks up so many pieces until I find one without any bad lining, loose buttons etc.

The same here. Plus, the shop assistants are quite unfriendly in the most stores.

I bought a dress in Tenerife and when wearing it for the first time the hem at the bottom of the dress (how do you call it in English?) broke. When I went to the store to make a complaint, they didn't want to fix it for me for free. They told me it would cost 4 Euros. I didn't even ask them to give me my money back, I just wanted to get the dress fixed for free. :furious:

^ That's ridiculous.
Most stores are willing to repair it for free.

I could tell you so many worse stories about Zara's unfriendly shop assistants, they are so incompetent. I really dislike shopping in Zara and I'm not willing to pay their prices for low quality and bad customer service.

^ Don't take the bad customer service out on the clothes!
Haha
But yeah the quality of some of the things are pretty cheap.

^^ I think that the quality for Zara clothes are actually quite good...

When I was in France, the customer service in Zara was terrible though!

It's quite good in Hong Kong to be honest.

Oh, don't say that :( I worked in Bershka, another of Inditex shops, and I wasn't a unfriendly shop assistant. Some of my colleagues were, but others were very friendly and nice to customers. I loved encouraging girls to try things that they thought the'll be too small for them and then realize they where their size. Being in the fitting rooms was my favourite part of the job ^_^

I know! I have never experienced that before. At least it wasn't my fault that the hem broke, it wasn't even tight or anything.

, I worked at a shop assistant for nearly one year and our company was really customer-friendly. If customers had a problem, we did everything to satisfy their wishes, regardless how expensive or cheap the clothes were. That's why I really cannot understand unfriendly shop assistants or a bad company policy. I have always been friendly (even though some customers can really get on your nerves ), probably that's why I'm allergic to people who aren't. :)

I worked in another shop and there we sold clothes and accesories from Prada, Marni, Dior, Jil Sander, Dolce & Gabbana, Chloé and other luxury brands. I wasn't allowed to be friendly at all there and it was awful, I had to act like a robot. So when I remember when I worked for the Zara group I think of myself as a very nice and friendly shop assistant, not like in the other shop.

kim,
thanks for trying those on :flower:

as for the Prada heels. there is actually one pair that is the SAME as the real thing in red and black tones... my zara is full of them!
to me it seems that the more common zara customer doesnt even know marni or balenciaga so what might be sold out in one zara doesnt mean its that pupular everywhere else.
anyone wanna come down to my zara ;)
