Zara

Just grabbed the Balenciaga-inspired blazer but am dying for the shoes that are a knockoff of the Prada Sfumato. But I don't think my Zara (NYC, 59th & lex) hasn't gotten them in yet as I've been twice in the last week and haven't seen them. I'm about to return something I bought on a (dumb) impulse a few weeks ago so I'll have credit and I'm STALKING those shoes. Anyone in the New York City area know of a Zara location that has those shoes in currently?

i think those shoes sold out weeks ago...sorry to say...
i saw them at the downtown bdwy store ages ago and they were already almost gone...

Hi there,
Great thread. :)

I also just looooove Zara. It´s quite funny to read about the Balenciaga inspired blazer - which I also bought at my Zara (in Aarhus, Denmark). It was a very popular blazer here and there was a bit of a hype about it. The price was about 67 euro.

My next visit to Zara will be in Paris, so I hope there are lots of great stuff down there.

Earth to Zara: not everyone is a size Medium and up! Start selling things (especially tops/shirts) in a size SMALL!!

I also think it would be smart of them to begin selling items online, but I guess that's just wishful thinking.

I think their business suits are great, but outside of that, I don't often find clothing that I like. :(

And here in France, so many people shop there that you're likely to see someone walking down the street in the same outfit as yourself...sucks.

The same phenomenon in Germany, when I used to live there!

DansLair - I agree. I´m a size xs but it´s quite difficult to find it in Zara. I do have a lot of clothes in a size small.

It would be really nice if they started an onlineshop but I don´t think they are planning on it. :(

I went to Zara earlier and I wanted to buy so many knock-offs  That Balenciaga-like blazer, Prada-like skirts and bags, etc...I think they're quite well made.

went to zara today too!
3 different balenciaga dress knock-offs and they had the scarf in three different colors. furthermore they had the jodpuhr (?spelling?) pants in green in the trf collection.
i also saw lots of things heavily prada-inspired.

My Zara doesn't have the jodhpurs (except the TRF one, which is gone by now), the dresses, the scarf, the Marni dresses.... Only some ugly and bad knock offs of Chloé stuff :ermm:

O.o that's always the problem with zara! they have LOADS of them here and none seems to buy them O.o

they even had chanel knock-offs ballet flats, i got back the day after and...GONE!

Is it actually okay for brands to copy pieces from designer houses? I mean, don't they get sued for that?

On another note :
alix - I can't find the jodhpurs either! I'm planning to try one despite its unflattering shape :p

^ Haha why do you want it if it's unflattering?

Ooooh what do the chanel shoes look like?

^ Haha why do you want it if it's unflattering?
That's the irony of fashion :innocent::lol: I just want to try it, to see how it fits me. I think it's unique for daily wear and if it's worn nicely, it can undermine the rather awkward shape ^_^

Hahaha I see

I need to go back to Zara again. A friend went yesterday, and she said it was a total bore
