The new stuff we got today sucks so bad! I'm really disappointed.
But, guys, Sale's heavy now. I bought myself a dress that was 139 € and now was 29 €. Can you believe it?

Great score! I tend to be iffy about fringed shoes, but I really like those. Every year, Zara sales are a time for my cunning ways to shine. While others pour over the sales racks, I sneak over to the new collection. I may not be shopping at a discount, but for once, I always find my elusive size.

No pics, but today my brilliant plan garnered a Zara Collection dress that is low cut and has a bow-tie neck. Black with tiny white polka dots and turquoise floral print at the hem and wrists. Sheer fabric and no lining. I know it sounds like Cavalli designed a dress under severe sleep deprivation, but hey, I bought it. You'll just have to take my word for it that I have good taste.

There were also three tshirts in red, gray, and beige at Collection with tattooed Japanese women printed on them. I picked one up for my friend who loves anything red, Japanese, and tattoo-inspired, and, ugh, it was one of those sordid items that looks like a sack and only comes in M/L.

I thought, I'll turn it into a cool pillowcase for my friend. But I had to go to the changing room anyways, so I threw it on, and the fit is perfect, drapey, and did I mention perfect? Do not pass these up if you like printed tshirts.

^Dress is from Basic, not Collection, in case my description of it made someone jealously want to run to Zara.

Sale seems to be a tad better here now. The SA's were actually folding items instead of the big mess I witnessed a couple weeks ago. Picked up a cute ruffle top for $15 and some harem drop crotch pants for $10. I have no idea what I will do with the pants, I've always felt conflicted about the drop crotch trend, they're a size too big (I can actually roll them up at the waistband though), but omg so comfy.

The Zara sale is great in Seoul! All the stores are kept nice and clean, the SA's are always folding things, and many great deals were left. Maybe Zara is not as popular in Asia as it is in the Western world- it's relatively new in Korea.

I bought a few pairs of jeans (30$) each, a pair of grey and black boots (70$ each), a black winter jacket (70$), a black silk dress (50$), a big wool sweater (40$), and two mohair tops (20$ each). I know the prices are not as great as back home, but it's better than usual. I really should take pictures.

Maybe it's time to swing by Zara now that the first sales-rush have passed and we're nearing the end (better deals!).

those shoes are lovely!
are Zara shoes comfortable to walk in?
I've never had anything from Zara footwear, I once tried Zara ballet flats in the shop, but they were so harsh and not-soft - when they are supposed to be very comfy
I'm wondering if heels are the same, cause they look very nice

Aaaaw.....that would probably be too dangerous for my purse, too! :innocent:Maybe I´ll take advantage of your offer - if that considers me, that is. ^_^ I´m an all Zara girl.
I'm serious! If Portugal is cheaper and i have many places to look for, just tell!^_^

Got a wonderful black leather jacket from Zara today. It wasn't on sale but it was so soft and exactly what I wanted. It had a side zip and no collar, sleek and elegant for only 170 dollars!

The Zara in Bristol is still full of sale stuff,
seems like more than the previous week, actually, with much bigger markdowns,
nothing in small sizes left though, that I wanted.

I can't wait for new stock to come in, I'm bored of seeing the same old same old in stores.

daisy, i agree, I'm so looking forward to the new spring line. There is nothing left from the sale in small sizes here anyway so I don't want to see that stuff anymore.

Thanks. I think it´s much cheaper at your place than here in DK.

I´m looking forward to seeing the Spring collection, too. Maybe I should take a look tomorrow after work. Hm.:innocent:

I have a pair of black ballet flats from Zara, they're really cute but they don't have any support so it feels like I'm walking barefoot. As for the quality, I don't think it's that great because they're already falling apart and I've had them for less then a year.

Zara definitely does not have the nicest store presentation but I actually don't think it's especially bad during sale times. I don't find it intolerably messy; I just dislike that everything was crammed onto a small rack and you have to dig as if you were in a thrift store. Too time-consuming for everyday clothing. -_-

Aside from the kimonos I posted earlier, I haven't bought a whole lot of clothing from Zara. Most of my purchases from 2008 have been footwear. :brows: I did post a leather jacket I bought in #3188, and I found a better picture of it on caroline's chictopia:

Boots from the new collection. Very nice quality of leather. USD $129 each.

The other two pairs of tall Zara boots I have are from spring-summer 2008. You can tuck your jeans in all of the boots. I thought this was a fleeting trend started by celebs, but now it's become my winter staple. B)

And I got two pairs of ankle boots. Ankle boots are tricky for people who have atheletic calves like me, but these are great because they stop right at the ankle to enlongate your legs as much as possible. A lot of people have the patent oxfords (and at $79, it's a great price!), but I haven't seen the other one often. The camera doesn't show the details, but it's got three casading 'flaps' on the side. I first spotted it at the Flat Iron store in New York but it wasn't available in my size, so I raced all the way to SoHo. I have never walked that fast from Flat Iron to SoHo, but it's well worth it.

woah those zara leather boots in the first picture (the ones that aren't heels) are to die for!! sooo nice! did you just buy them? I might have to head over to zara to see if them have them, I have fallen in love!! hehe

^ The Loeffler Randall-esque flat boots came out in later winter and were sold-out before the holidays, but they have been restocked. I bought mine just last week. Good luck!! ^_^

My buys during the sale, and since my poor wallet is crying, I hope this is it.
Flash washed out some of the colors, esp. black.

This one can be worn on both sides:

And I bought shoes like in post #3236.
