Zegna should be the MaxMara of menswear and yet, I couldn’t imagine men wanting to look like this.
It lacks the fine line between style and trend and the silhouettes are not flattering.
^ what’s funny is his zzegna work was trending in that direction, but ever since he’s taken over the main line, and especially after his collab w fear of god, the silhouettes are just losing all semblance of intentionality.
Supercool cast.
It is true that some silhouettes are not the most flattering (but some other are!).
At the same time, the Zegna man has other priorities than feeling sexy or being attractive.
Remember: flattering clothes don't matter; what matters is your body.
Shirts over shirts is giving me bad flashbacks to Abercrombie polo shirts layered two- and three-high circa 2005, when the masses were still getting excited about the phrase "pop the collar" ...
And then you put a sweater over those shirts and tuck ALL of it into your wide-leg trousers? What do you do the rest of the time with these pants you sized up four sizes to wear them Zegna runway-style?
Horrendous. The lack of imagination is catastrophic here. They didn’t even try to change the set design from previous shows….. but at least their pr team is working well with all the great guests and positive reception in press LOL
Dare I say… bring Stefano Pilati back. Sartori’s work is becoming rather outdated and uninspiring
