Zinedine Zidane Gossip

Did anyobe else see his last match wearing Real's shirt?

I thought it was so sad, I mean he is not mr.super young(In football's terms) but he is certaintly better(well at the end of the day is there someone better than Zizou?) than many youngters. Ronaldo comes to my mind, he doesn't even run!!

Ahh what an unfair decisions for those who still wanted to see more of him.

I know  I was hoping he'd return for WC 2010. Zizou still has the strength to play but he must be bored now. If you could retire having ahceived all you wanted and won everything you wanted with millions in the bank, would you continue?

Plus he went out of the world cup, winning player of the tournament. Ok, headbutt aside, he still went out with the prestigious accolade. He might not win that in 4 years time...

It is sad though, because football will be shite without him. But I did hear rumours about a move to the US but he's denying that.....I think playing in the US would not allow him to have the iconic status he's had here...but maybe that would suit him....he's so grounded and humble, it might work for him.

And beyond the WC, I doubt Materazzi will ever personally reach the legendary heights of Zidane, so he's going to try and do as much damage control to keep his reputation intact.
.
Oh there is no doubt. haha Materazzi will never be as great as Zizou. Zizou is the best player of the last decade, up there with the all time greats. Materazzi has no reputation unless being called the "butcher" by the Italians is one to protect

I saw Zizou's last match for Real, it was very emotional...btw thanks for the add Odette

I think its good he retired. Its always great to retire on a high (watching Bergkamp play this season was heartbreaking). He should go to Qatar now for the money :p;)

They don't play day in day out together unlike the Italians... do you watch football bar the WCs?

well, yes. Not with the same enthusiasm maybe. But I know what you mean.
The French may not play in the same country, but they don't have to play against each other, either. If you have seen the Seria A, you should've noticed the atmosphere around these games. It's no less intriguing than the WC.

It's just that the Italians, unlike many other teams (England for example :innocent: ) have been known for always putting their national team in the first place.

What's happening with the shameful Italian club fixing scandal? Have they all been found guilty or not?

Yes I know, he is manly and elegant, I love how he mumbles words.

This is quite odd...but does anyone else find him rather...sexy? I do. Well, he's also very talented, great despite the headbutt. I actually don't blame him if the comment was very vulgar and against his family but still...shouldn't have done it in the last game of his career.

That's isn't odd at all!! Any sane person should find him that way too.
I suppose it's a combination, not just his physique but all that aura surounding him, his manners and the way he talks(I just love that mumbling and soft speaking). Plus the fact he has this kind of magnetism.

I don't know, can't explain it with words but I feel it too.

He's cool as f*** and has great style and knows how to carry himself.

To find him sexy is not wrong or strange at all. It's sensible!!

newprincesita - thanks for the video link btw! I agree odette - it's the mumbling the intensity of his face, how he wears clothes and then the amazing talent he has as a footballer. It all adds to the magnetism. He's lush.

Yah, after going through this thread, I was going to post something that said "okay, never mind. many people find him hot" Looking through the pics...very nice. Hehe.

This media controversy around his actions is evidently rooted in his big name (because of his football skills, great career, etc) but mostly because he is not a footballer like any other. He has a great magnetism, and that´s also the key of all the attention he gets...we just can´t stop speaking of him, we cannot take our eyes out of him.
As they say: we just can´t get enough of him.

His looks are very strange, I mean not usual... he´s not doll-like and the buzz cut gives him maturity. He´s extremely handsome, and yes I have to agree with you Odette, his way to speak is sooooooooo charming. A kind of mumbling, but not as if he were coy, but as a calm person who just doesn´t need to rush words or to scream.
A strange combination of strenght and softness that´s irresistible.

I just watched that video of him in that interview (l'interview). Wow....the eyes, the cheekbones and the tucked in hands, very cute.

I am glad I finally found the Zidane thread!!!!

He is soooo HOT, but also a nice man.

As football player he is amaizing, he is most elegant one. It´s seems he can dance with the ball, so sexy!!!!

I now I've said that 12342535321 times by now but I love it too, it's not what you expect from Zizou who looks so manly.

I still support him no matter what and apart from that, yes he is seriously hot

I actually loved that he headbutted Materazzi in response to a racist/family related slur. Wouldn't it be great if all individuals horrid enough to use such comments would get headbutted? :innocent:
