Zoe Saldana

Noone else came even close to being in the realms of amazingness Zoe was in last night:woot:, as soon as she stepped on the red carpet the best dressed contest was over, its actually one of my favorite gowns of all time, the colors the beading the drama, pure perfection:heart:the after party dress was amazing too:D

She reminds me of Thandie Newton. Anyone else see it?

See other people have said this but I just don't see it. I think both are very beautiful but I don't see much resemblance. They have different skin tones and facial features...However, they do share the similar thin frame, but that's about it.

On another note, that white and red Givenchy dress looks amazing on her.

Her makeup at the Oscars:

I'm still working on getting the step-by-step for Zoe's makeup, but in the meantime, here's the scoop from Mara Roszak, TRESemmé Celebrity Stylist, on creating Zoe Saldana's hair last night!
"We didn't want the hair and make up to compete with her Givenchy dress, so we created an elegant but effortless editorial look. To get the look,

•Apply TRESemmé Naturals Lightweight Mousse all over damp hair and blow dry away from the face with volume, flipping head upside down when the hair is almost dry to finish.
•Separate the crown from the rest of the hair and pull back sides and back into a tight ponytail. Pull the hair almost all the way through, leaving the ends tucked into the pony tail holder to create a half bun shape. Let a few pieces in the back fall out for a messier look.
•Tease the top of the hair, pull back to meet the back and pin, criss-crossing the bobby pins for a secure hold. Spray all over with TRESemmé TRES TWO Two Hair Spray.
My top stylist secret: Spray hairspray on finger tips and gently pull the hair around the face with your fingers to loosen the hair, giving it an organic effortless look."

I just loved the way the light hit her dress while she presented on stage. It was like a dream  soooo beautiful. As for her after-party dress, I think I need to see more pictures...

Personally, I think the only thing her and Thandie have in common is their small frame and complexion. But maybe that's because I can clearly see a difference in them, why they look so different face-wise to me.

holy s**t she looked amazing in both of the dresses. i have loved the purple givenchy since i saw it on the runway and i literally gasped when i saw her come on tv in it and WOW that orange one is my favorite from that collection as well.
its like shes reading my mind...

I wish she would have worn the orange Givenchy on the red carpet...it's much, much nicer than the purple imo. ^_^

There was a few hits (fashionwise) at the Oscars, but overall I have to give it to Zoe. Some may not wanted to see her in Givenchy (again) at the Oscar party, but she kept her theme going. It might seem too safe, but she did it so well.
