not for me the shorts or the navy styles.. hard to get persuaded by high heels, if i need to it will be from the "getting high" group, those Dries Van Noten wedges look cute..

admiting loving the adjustable Chloe bag, its genious :ninja:

minimize . . supersize !
wht does this imply ?!
nothn normal sized ?

* waist is my fav. here !

I would add tiny boleros in woven or knit and a good short bubble shift (in black) with some towering wedges or strappy flat sandals.

I can't pull off that sailor look, I end up looking like a gay popeye (not that there's anything wrong with that)...and the only way I'm showing my knees would be a pair of lederhosen.

Can guys max/minimize stuff as well? Thinking about maximizing my wallet ala George Constanza...

is "mediumize" a word or is that being saved of '07?? hmm...

:ninja:

:D

agreed on the boleros missing Bidwell.. but same with puff skirts and summer capes i suspect that they wont expand to a real mass trend till maybe next winter
flat sandals are certainly missing much..

I like the waist, it's definitly a chic look when done right. The sailor thing feels a bit done, Balenciaga did nautical last spring and the fall collections were filled with various military references so I can't say I love that trend.

They forgot puff/peaked sleeves though, those were everywhere.

Ooh lord, what an amazing thread! :woot: I'm gonna print it out and take it vintage shopping with me next week! I cant wait till Spring time and I can run around the city in my pleated shorts and wedges. :buzz:

Aren't boleros kind of over? Maybe it's just because I'd never been a fan of them...
I agree with the bubble shift though!

That Cosabella dress is too lovely. I definitely don't think I can do the "minimize" thing...

^^ Oh me either.. definitely not. I carry a bit more around with me than a tube of lipstick and a stick of gum.

That bag looks like a cigarette bag/holder instead of a purse.

PS... that yellow Celine thing would be a perfect fit for my digital camera! OoOOoh.. Maybe taht's what you're supposed to shove in there.

:D good idea luna..
i'm already doing both minimising and supersizing, each has it's purpose.

Vogue/Style always do trends quite poorly sometimes. I remember a season or two ago they said "out: nautical, in: military" and now they've reversed it again. I like the either supersized bag or the miniscule one, but i almost always opt for supersize. Love big bags. and I agree Lena, flats are greatly missing. For me it's either flat or sky high.
