Rudi is won of my all tiem favorite designers ... and peggy is by far my favorite model, I love her look and she was really creative in her work. He was very innovative in fashion, and I think his clothes also reflect a social or political stance on liberation as well.
love the black dress with the white sleeves, great visuals cerfas and space
and yes, he was one of the most renovative designers of this century, a real master
and then, there are those that say U.S. has brought us no 'real' inovative design.. hmm just take a look at Rudi's work guys
thanks for all this Lena, Space & Cerfas - I hadn't heard of Rudi before. Reading this has spurred me on to dig out some of my fashion history books this weekend & check him out - feel like i haven't done that for ages. I used to spend hours on end immersed in fashion history books.
his work absolutely deserves your time Helena,
i 'discovered' him few years ago and i couldnt believe how much he was left out of fashion history books, he's an amazing talent , real ground breaking for his time
thanks Lena - I love the little dress posted last - the purple one. Its like a cute little kimono dress -I wish there would be a kimono trend........I adore them.
Sounds lovely, Helena, I adore immersing myself in books
The feeling of seeing his work for the first time is was astonishment for me...couldn't believe that I had never heard of him before, couldn't believe how much of contemporary design shows his influence.
