i recently saw an interview and yohji talked about how he likes clothing that seems to be secondhand...or worn...the fading reminds me of what you do when you decide to give a new life to an old kimono you never wear any more.
also, of his collections there are some that show slavic influence.
this F/W 91 seems to be one of them.

Hi, I know this isn't the exact thread for questions like this..but has any of these designers collaborated with theatre/dance/musical production companies on their costume design? I've just watched Wim Wenders' amazing Pina and I thought they might work well together, particularly Yohji Yamamoto
