I was told I could come in, shop, make my selections, and then hand over my credit card info this week. When December 1st arrives, they run the information through. In effect, so it seems, you pre-sell but the actual sale happens on the December 1st Sale date. I was told by my SA that it's 40% off. I believe that you then pick the merch up on or after the Sale date.

they stamp your credit card and put the stuff on hold till the first day of sale and then they ring it up. unfortunately at barneys u cant take it home right away during presale like you can at some boutiques. cuz the price change hasnt taken effect in the system, so they cant even sell it to you yet at sale price. changes happen like a couple days before the first day of sale.
