A + Barneys = can't go wrong Please report if you buy anything. I am strapped (from big spending) for another month until my birthday, so I can only delight in listening .

oh man, i can't afford to buy anything. but i'm sure i will. i don't know what my budget is yet, i think i'll play it by ear.

there is stuff i like at atelier that i can't compare prices on--who else has undercover? (actually, bilzerian's has a lot, but totally different pieces). so on some things it is hard to know if it is marked up way more than somewhere else... because it isn't anywhere else!

also, if anyone know when the good sales are in paris, please feel free to post here, because i'll be there jan1 -> jan 5 for a wedding. (yet another reason why i can't blow my budget this weekend!)

The only place that MIGHT have men's Undercover (but no more than a couple of pieces) is Jeffrey, but chances are they will have different pieces as well. That's the thing about A, they buy differently... and I love what they buy compared to other stores that carry the same designers. IF has women's Undercover - might help with price comparisons...

When I was at Jeffrey back in September they had like 3 pieces of Undercover men's...a button down shirt and two t-shirts, prices were comparable with Atelier (which means $500 range for those 3 shirts). I dunno if they stocked more now...they have a lot more N(N) than they do UC.

I love MJ but am not even going there unless it is 50%+ off as even at 40% off $3K jackets and $5K coats are still too much for me. Besides I don't want to blow all my money until I see whats available for Cruise... At Colette, Paris yesterday the sales assistants were offering 30% off the fall/winter merchandise kind of like a private sale. The big department stores have been offering 30-40% off loads of great designer pieces from Chloe and Lanvin, etc. but only for those who have the store card. At the rate the stuff's selling, there will be just dross left when the sales proper start in early - mid Jan. I can't get over how lucky you guys are in the States, the sales in Paris and London typically start more than a month later.
