2008 Academy Awards

I didn't get that. At all. lol

Why do Brits make such a big deal about that anyway?

^ lol. It's becayse Helen is seen as like a national treasure here, and due to her win last year I think Day-Lewis wanted to have a little joke.
I thought is was funny!!:woot:

Out of the pregnant ladies, Jessica looked the best. Cate was second - I was kind of disappointed in her. Nicole comes in last - she looked a mess.

^I agree, she's just glowing. her hair looks amazing.
i didn't like the dresses at all (except Heigl's) it looked like they were all designed by one person, especially the strapless ones.. very boring.
I really missed Reese..
I'm not even going to bother watching it tonight on tv seeing the photos was enough of a red carpet fix.

For me it was the most boring fashion Oscar ever. Every one looked so boring.
Heidi Klum looked like a Draculas wife, horrible.
Jessica Alba -nice
Katherine Heigl- nice as well
best outfit for me was Anne Hetheway, she looks really goddess, the rest all boring.

Would someone that speaks Spanish tell us what Javier said to his Mum?

TIA:flower:

This is what he said ^_^

"Mum, this is for you. This is for your grandparents, for your parents, Rafael and Matilde. This is for the Spanish comedians that have brought dignity and pride to our job.

This is for Spain. And this is for all of you."

about jewelry, i thought Harry Winston is the major supplier of red-carpet,why did I only see Ann hathaway wearing Harry Winston?

but i didn't like the brad renfro snub in the memoriam:(

Not impressed with the fashion this year. My favorite from what I've seen so far is Marion Cotillard(sp?), who also had beautiful hair and makeup. I thought Katherine Heigl's dress was nice enough, but her hair and makeup looked awful.
