chris rock was soooo funny.
even though i love jude, it was hilarious when he made fun of him. But I respect Sean Penn for sticking up for Jude after. I completely disagree with Rock when he went on and on about Russell Crowe being amazing-he's a thug that got lucky, IMO, and way too arrogant. I prefer the genuinely talented, salt of the earth humble types, like Tom Hanks.

I thought Gwyneth looked beautiful, as did Emily Rossum and Salma Hayek, but not too sure about Salma's dress. I love Halle Berry's new hair.

Nicole R plays it safe in that colour and it totally works, I think she is one of the best from the evening.
Selma looks amazing too in that rather risque dress.
Kate Winslet's dress colour was gorgeous.
Vanessa Paradis and Jonny Depp compliment eachother perfectly, they are beautiful together time after time. I think her lipstick compliments his glasses too for some reason.
Gisele Bundchen Loved that dress, so boho. Is it the dress or could she be preggers, I mean, they are stepping out officially for the first time. Could this be a sign or is it the dress?
Cate Blanchett is flawless, she never gets it wrong. She doesn't need lots of make up either to look that good which I admire.
Maggie and Jake G looked so cute together. I loved her dress.
I think Emmy rossum seems to try so hard, it seems like it doesn't come so natural to her. I didn't like Charlize's dress but her hair was amzing. I admired Scarlett for taking a risk but both her hair and her dress imo weren't as good as they could of been.

Here are my favorites and not so favorites


Kate Winslet~ Loved the "periwinkle" dress! She always looks like she's glowing to me! Very beautiful

Kirsten Dunst~ One of my favorites looks last night. She really pulled the hair off and the dress she just looked stunning to me!

Hilary Swank~ The dress was a very classy choice but the back added the vavavoom imo. Her hair was perfect and makeup flawless!

Salma Hayek~ I think her dress represented her "roots" very well it just looked right on her. I also Loved her updo.

Penelope Cruz~ Looked gorgeous in the canary yellow dress the only thing about it I didn't like was a bow on the back I just didn't get it. But I also loved her updo! Very Classy!

Renee Zellweger~ I loved the way her dress looked when she was presenting she looked like a barbie doll to me! But I just am not sure if I like Renee, her face always looks swolen or something to me. And I didn't like her bangs.

Cate Blanchett~ She looked very very classy in her yellow/gold dress also. I like her "belt" and matching handbag.

Beyonce Knowles~ Her look was very refreshing from her usual mini dresses. And I liked her hair. My favorite performance of hers was the one in French.

Oprah Winfrey~ She was very slim and glowing. Loved her choice of attire her dress was shaped perfectly for her body.

Orlando Bloom~ He always looks gorgeous to me! He is just so effortless in his style and doesn't not seem cocky at all.

Halle Berry~ I loved her hair straight. She looked like pretty.

Charlize Theron~ Her dress was gorgeous one of the best of the evening it definanty stood out! I also like her hair.

Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal~ Her dress was very very pretty one of her best choices. And it doesn't matter if Jake shaved his head he's still sexy!


Gisele Bundchen~ Some of the pictures looked okay but on camera I'm just not sure. It really did nothing for me and I'm kind of tired of her same hairstyle. Even though her hair is very pretty.

Scarlett~ Again I'm kind of stuck I'm not sure whether I like her look or not. I thought her hair looked too frizzy and fried but I liked the brooches in her hair.

Natalie Portman~ I thought she looked okay but safe and very familar kind of reminded me of Mischa Barton's Victor and Rolf dress.

Johnny starts filming Pirates of the Carribean 2 the beginning of next month. That's why he didn't shave and he also has the gold or silver teeth in his mouth. I sure he would shave for the Oscar's if he could.

I think all actors/actresses this year deserved their awards.

Today on the radio (we speak french here) everybody were laughing at Beyonce singing in French, I mean nobody understood ONE word of what she sang, sounded pretty arabian to me. It was just awful hearing her. And why did they have to give her 3 songs, it was dreadful.

Antonio Banderas singing, lol, he's cool. :rock:

I liked Sean Penn's comment Jude Law. I love Sean!!!!! I thought he wouldn't be showing up, but yeah, he was there, he's totally cool.

Vanessa Paradis is totally breathtaking, her makeup was terrific. She was without a doubt the BEST DRESSED of the evening.

Chris Rock's jokes were totally getting lame, he was repeating the same jokes for too long.

I was listening to CKOI, but it was the "Les Avant-Midi de Patrice" with Patrice L'Ecuyer and Claudine talking about Beyonce.

I noticed there was a lot of blue, shades of cream (mocha, yellow...), red and black.

oh yeah I forgot-Renee looked awful. She is way too thin. Her eyes looked strange...she is also very pale, which adds to her unhealthy look. Gisele looked amazing.

LOL! That's all I understood, too! I've taken french for six years, and I was sitting there, TRYING so hard to pick out ONE word that sounded like french, and really, "nuit" was it. And even that was "nuuuuuuuueeeeeeeeeeetttttt". LOL. Oh man, whoever decided Beyonce should sing three songs should be shot. haha
