i actually saw this as it was just flowing in on nowfashion(finally spent a bit of time on there).....was really floored by it all. it was very moody,sexual and dramatic in only the best and most poetic way an and filip can do it.

One of the nicest ways to cover the models' faces I've seen. I usually find it kind of gimmicky/pseudo-conceptual.

In the last FW collection the looks were as interesting from the back is they were from the front. I hope there'll be a video so we can see more angles of this. I really like the non-black looks.

Despite the covering of the faces and the slightly creepiness of that hand/arm in post 4 second set of photos, I quite like it.

Usually I would not think of layering such heavy pieces but it works.

I don't recall them ever exploring knits to the degree they did in this collection, it added such an unexpected punch of beauty to their artistry. Especially when you take into consideration that they were able to drape them as masterfully as they are known to do with their fabrics. (Showoffs! ) The hats, covered faces, leather knee boots when combined with the sharp tailored pieces add such a sexual undercurrent to the already sexy pieces. I am loving this! I'm excited for detailed shots.

Such an incredible collection That embroidered coat and top towards the end are probably my favorite pieces of the season thus far. Everything looks absolutely stunning and I love the styling, too. I'm in love with this

I don't recall them ever exploring knits to the degree they did in this collection.

I remember them doing these huge knits in a time that I now consider as some kind of transition in their design, when they gave up the military elements for a while and dived full into nomadic territory.. not a big fan but the knits were actually a highlight for me (next to the admittedly girlie dresses ).

The way in which they covered the models' faces here reminds me a bit of that Undercover collection in the mid 00s.. it almost feels like a necessary touch for the collection, it wouldn't have transmitted the same energy of mystery otherwise.

It is a nice collection that showcases their great talent for proportions, construction, etc. but lacking their more creative concepts and avant-garde ideas. I've noticed there's less envelope pushing this season among my favourite designers! It must be the economy that leads to such subdued collections.

so much reminds me of Undercover and Junya Watanabe's early collections. I love the 90's mystery vibe, quite raw and vicious.

Is there anything that these guys do that isn't fantastic?

There are some impressive Gothic references here, especially the way the hats have been dipped to hide the faces. It reminds me of the character of Peter Quint from The Turn of the Screw. The way the hands are reaching from underneath the coats, how the faces have been excessively disguised in endless layers of wool, the way most pieces seem to hang or droop. It's all very ghost-like and has that disturbing Gothic sense of the supernatural. It's beautiful and troubling at the same time.
And there are a number of sexual undertones here too.
