it really takes a person back, eh? i really adored Karen Mulder. i think she was such a glamourous beauty. too bad she had such a bad time near the end of her career (and probably throughout). she was a great model.

shalom was so great on the runway, too. i remember her turns were always so smooth and with attitude. thanks again so much for all these pics.

niki taylor was also one of the most famous names as far as models were concerned. literally i remember at like 13 years of age knowing who niki taylor was. but i don't really know why. . .she wasn't one of the SUPERS, but she was definitely a famous model. was it just cause of Covergirl and the SI Swimsuit issues?

Niki had a great deal of success, but I think that the tragedies in her life gave her, ironically since it is so tragic, some more staying power (her young model sister died at 17, Niki herself had a near-fatal accident in 2001).

I never quite understood what happened to Karen. I know Janice Dickinson implied that Karen often used errr unfair skills to gain contracts. I know Karen accused people of sexual harrassment, r*pe and incest, but then retracted some of her accusations? Poor girl, she must have had a very hard time, whatever the truth is.
