Don't worry, most of the people thinks like you about Valeria. In fact, most of her commercial work was for Sport Illustrated unfortunately. But she also did some Versace ads. Have a look and you will see that she could do something else than SI.

Valeria is a beautiful girl no question but i can see why she wasn't used more cause she was like a mixture of daniela pestova and claudia schiffer and looking similar to another model is a big no no cause you need to be distinctive have a strong unique identity in order to be a big supermodel.

you could say her beauty was a little safe lacking in personality compared to claudia's bardotesque face. i prefer claudia and can see why she was chosen over valeria. at that time there were already 3 classy blondes claudia, karen and eva that designers & vogue italia embraced. valeria and daniela struggled there was so much competition. it really was tough to make it and sustain it especially with new distinctive faces emerging every season
