interesting, i have to check out edita, i think there is alot going on with lara maybe thats why she has got my interest. firstly its unusual to see her body shape that makes her stand out initially. she has glamazon curves no question even though in some pictures and on the runway they are trying to hide it and make her seem slimmer and less busty. facially without the glamourous look she does look like many of the other girls that familar cold, angry moody teenager face. so she is definately a model of this time but she can look womanly like below. without make up she does have the quite harsh androgynous look of kirsten but with the curves of latetia casta. imo this makes her distinctive this contradiction.

in this paris vogue cover and photoshoot i see in her face part daniella pestova, part brigitte bardot (the sexuality like the pout), the coolness and harshness of early faye dunaway face (eyes and brows) with the tan and supermodel sheen of giselle. i think gianni would have really liked her, i don't know anything about her runway walk or whether she has presence on the catwalk. she will need this in order to make maximum impact.
i don't think we will ever return to the early 90s glamazon only models. what i'm hoping for is just more of a balance idealy along with more ethnic mixed race girls too thrown in the mix. i don't know, we'll see if lara triggers something off in months too come.
great stuff kissmiss! wow if kirsty hume had started this decade she would be huge she has that look that fits this era perfectly. the good thing about the mid 90s you had glamazons and non glamzons there was room for everybody.

I agree. You've got a good eye. I just looked at the pictures from the Paris Vogue photoshoot, and Lara really does have qualities of all those women you mentioned. The photoshoot itself has a very late-80s vibe. I felt like I was looking at a Daniela Pestova editorial from 1989.
It's a great photoshoot btw.
And yes, I think you're right that Gianni would've really liked Lara. With her blend of Kristen/Daniela looks, and with her curves, she would have been a favorite of his.

Okay I missed this discussion and I don't know much about Lara,jokes! Yet looking at the cover,they're only 2 names that come to mind Bardot and mainly Gia Carangi. I truly think she looks like a modern version of Gia.I agree. You've got a good eye.
