I hope so too! Abbie is probably one of the most phenomenal actresses working today. I wonder how many critics have seen her previous work?
I thought she'd have been a sure thing for 'Bright Star' but I guess that's Hollywood politics for you.

Just an FYI, Abbie wore an Elie Saab Spring 2010 black sheath dress with structured shoulders along with Bally heels.

Adorable pictures! What's worse is that her performance has had a lot of FYC ads, so it's not like it's down to poor campaigning. I would like these Award shows to think for themselves. Sometimes the Academy does pick some surprise nominees (Laura Linney, Toni Collette and Tommy Lee Jones are a few examples) which does give me hope for THEM sometimes. Marcia Gay Harden, who was only nominated for one award throughout the whole of Award Season, managed to WIN an Oscar, which makes me still have hope in Abbie.
