Addicted to buying fashion magazines, who has the same problem??

Usually every month I make a list of each mag I want to buy for the month and I love crossing them off my list like I have accomplished something :D

Does anyone buy the newsstand copy when their subscriber copy has yet to arrive??????? I always do this and end up with two of everything each month because my subscriber's copies take forever to come in the snail mail...my friends think I'm cuckoooo...and impatient!!!!!!

I did that when I went on a trip to Puerto Rico
and my Vogue March 08 didnt arrive yet so i bought
it at the airport

^^ That's a start- but I think you will need to buy about half a dozen duplicates a month to make the Varsity... ^_^

I spend almost 500$ Canadian, VP is 12 + Tax same with BV and VI is 50$ plus Bazaar, Bazaar UK, Elle, Elle UK, W, Interview, Numero, GQ. Too many to list.

ok so now i can feel lucky to live in france ...
VI is only 6€, my VP are only 2€, Itw is 5.2€ (it used to be 4€ before Baron's coming) etc. the only expensive i buy is Another or Arena Homme + ... btw 10 and 12€ ...
even V is 10€ ... and I think it's expensive ... I would seriously never buy a VI for 40€ !!

how much is Purple or Self Service in Russia and Canada ?

i've already read it was very expensive in south america ...

can't you guys make it cheaper with buying on the internet ?

i order self service and purple from paris) purple is selling very late and its cost 22 eur, self service isnt selling more, earlier it was 20 usd.
i often order mags and back issues esp from the countries like japan
VP is 7 eur, Vogue italia is 7-8 eur, numero- 11 eur, Vogue uk- 5 eur
and my friends always buying me mags when theyre (often) travelling on aboard
its always selling here for different price (twice expensive) and i just have good channels to get everything for fair price, since i`m junkie many years already

I usually spend some money in mags, but I buy them in a site called Mercado Livre, it's like ebay, but it's more used in South America. I get mags for a very accessible price, and the biggest part of them are old issues, from 2004, 2002... I got a Vogue Paris issue from 1994 for R$10, which is about 3US$
I don't buy them when they're released because they cost R$75, which is about US$30
:ninja:

You are lucky that your addiction is a baby. It's a slippery slope from just a couple of magazines to a full blown problem. :ninja: I have fond that out from personal experience. :ninja:

I'm not addicted, but I buy a lot of magazines without any regrets. I feel sorry for my money, but it makes me happy, so I don't really care about it. :D

^same here! buying expensive clothes, makeup, and accesories i regret but spending $60 dollars on magazines in one day. no big deal to me... although it should be

I started when I was around your age... and you have no idea what a full blown problem is yet.

It's not that I'm addicted to fashion magazines, I'm addicted to getting them before the public does. Which isn't always the case. But my habit pretty much includes retrieving these magazines (in no particular order):

NYLON, Glamour, Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, Elle, Harper's Bazaar, InStyle, Esquire, Maxim, Details, GQ, California Style, Ocean Drive, Gotham, Teen Vogue, Seventeen, Rolling Stone, New York Magazine, Official XBOX Magazine, Official Playstation Magazine, V Magazine, W Magazine, Shape, Self, Allure, Hollywood Life, Los Angeles Magazine, Malibu Magazine, LA Direct, Newsweek, TIME, LA Confidential, Interview, and lastly, Vogue.

All magazines are domestic. I don't bother with international stuff. All in all, I say I spend around a good $200 in a span of two weeks EVERY month.
