Addicted to buying fashion magazines, who has the same problem??

^^ So there's this magazine store off of Spring St in Soho (New York) right around the corner from Chanel , and they have an entire wall of fashion magazines ...I see this fashion show review issue with these HQ frameable pics from the Chanel shows- dozens of them but no price on the cover...I go up to the pusher, I mean clerk, and I say I don't see a price, and he looks me over (humm..maybe a fashionista, probably not an undercover cop) and finally says "Twenty Seven Dollars"!! I put it back, but I keep thinking I should go back and get it...I mean- it's CHANEL!!

Maybe there's a 12 Step Group out there for us...

well not 60$ every day just $60 dollars on days when i go magazine shopping... every saturday but sometimes i dont get that many if nothing new is in.. and now that i have alot of subscriptions that helps
i used to be much worse, i would buy everything i saw! now i stick to magazines that are in english + vogue espana + vp + vi + special issues that I need of VR, german vogue, and vogue nippon

me, I have this expensive problem too! The only reasons why I am lucky (my purse is in fact, not me) is that I live in Lithuanian, there we have hardly none interesting magazine. But that doesn't stop me from spending money on them on ebay

that is absurd, to charge that much on a magazine, 50 $ VI
in us, Vi is around 16$ tops 20$ i think, the price in Canada would have to be the same like in Us, i mean the distance is the same from europe.

the best prices for magazines are in France, and then Italy. Last summer i came back from italy with 150 euros worth of magazines.

^ lucky! I have some friends who are going overseas for a month and I told them to pick me up a few magazines (VP, VI, numero) and they always tease me when I get excited about that.

I think the VI march issue was so expensive because I saw that it came with two supplements, so maybe that's why?

i think we should open one for people complaining about the magazine's prices ... and maybe the industry would notice our little complains ...

yesterday i bought
Arena Homme + ... it went from 7.9€ with the Marc Jacobs issue (2007/2008) to 12.3€ with the Helmut Newton issue (2009). It's still 6£ in UK.


and I saw that Interview has once again increased its price : from 4€ to 5.2€ with the Marc Jacobs issue (2008) to 6.5€ with the Zac Efron issue (2009) ...... just saying ... Has Interview increased its price in USA ?

^I don't know if the price has changed in the US. But it hasn't changed in the UK.
The price of Numero in the UK has increased as well.

^^Hahah, i am getting more and more annoyed by just how thin all the major fashion magazines have been so faar this year, its unbelivable!! Even the March issues!!

There probably isn't a tfs thread about the price of magazines, because I'd have found it by now, and filled it with constant lamentations, all posted when I'm in the mindset of 'magazine miser' after seeing Conde Nast raise the price of yet another import magazine.

i kinda stole another magazine today! it was just lying in the classroom so i shoved it into my bag...
