yeah I love her, it's just the fact that she has no boobs that people goes like ' '.

I actually think Adina looked much healthier at the ss05 shows - that pic from the calvin klein show where she looked incredibly scary was from a past season (possibly ss04?) wasn't it?

this is a bit of an odd question, but I have to ask:
does anyone feel that maybe a lot of models, when they start out, feel more pressure to be extremely thin, and eventually after they're been working for a while, that pressure lifts?

obviously I know that many girls are naturally skinny, but comparing photos of Adina and Hana a few seasons ago to more recent pics, they do seem a bit healthier - and I wondered if less pressure was a reason behind that?

I guess it depends on the person, but maybe that was some of what happened with Karen Elson? :flower:

exactly, it just seems like once they've had a lot of success, some models don't strive to be as skinny as they were when they started :flower:

what happened with daria then? shes too skinny as of late. :yuk:

Hmmm.... interesting, I think TOO skinny models blur the image of the clothes they are wearing. EG in that picture where Hana is wearing a bikini. I haven't looked at the bikini, only at her bones sticking out. TOO thin is just not pretty, as I look at it, I make the same face as when I look at some fatso that weighs 300 pounds. Also the argumenet about oh don't look at it if you don't want to: what if I were at a fashion show and there come Hana and Adina, showing clothes ofcourse and it's my job to look at the clothes and make a report, should I just look away, because i mustn't look at it or should I look and try not to see the bones, which will be hard.... :innocent:

that's a good point, perhaps that theory works in reverse as well

Exactly, Mr. Dale; models are supposed to sell the clothing that they are wearing. If they make it look unappealing the buyers aren't going to be interesting in purchasing the clothing itself. "Wait- no- I must'n't look..."
It's all part of the picture. A model's job is essentially to work with the marketing process. It's like if you work in a clothing store, you have to be presentable. Not to sound overly cruel, but these young women need to try to keep themselves up to par, or they're not going to have much work. And in the end, it's only a small segment of the population that honestly wants to look at women who seem about to pass out right on the catwalk.

did you know that adina used to be a ballerina? ballerina. the skinniest people on the planet. just something to think of. it's not like modeling has suddenly changed her body type. she's probably been this tiny since she was 14, and chroeographers have got to be just as harsh as casting agents.
