Yeah, I heard back early because I applied early decision. So, I got accepted and now I must go there, no matter what other schools I get into. But... I'm fine with that!

It is easily one of the most prestigious and and excellent art schools in the country. Very selective admission standards. All students accepted receive a full scholarship. I believe they also have a science and engineering aspect as well.

How does early admission works?
I am asking because in Europe everything works differently and i don´t know what is the system like in the US.
Where i live, you have to finish high school, do final exams and an exam in the area you are applying to.
The media of all these exams and high school grades, will be the one that will determin in you have enough to get into each school.

It is! I am pretty proud, but also I am in disbelief.
Well.. most people applying to colleges here are still in high school, in the last year (12/senior year).. We have to take an SAT or ACT (standardized tests that pretend to measure something about smartness/ability to take tests/blah blah blah but really just measure how much one is willing to spend on a good SAT tutor that will tell all the tricks)
You send the scores of one/both of those tests, your high school grades, and recommendations and stuff.. and whatever the college asks for (application, essay, and in cooper union's case--a "hometest")
Applying early means that you'll find out early, too, but that if you get in you have agreed to attend the school..
There are other things like Early Action where you apply early and find out early but you don't necessarily have to go to that school..

My cousin went to Cooper Union. And you pay nothing to go there. Lucky, lucky you. The school has a great engineering and design program. Best of luck!
