I believe the collection was heavily inspired by and paid homage to the tradition of textile mills in Northern England (embroidery made from selvage scraps, beading made out of loom heddles and other industrial materials, mill-sourced fabric for the seating, etc), so that's probably it.

Personally, I think it looks fab---especially with those lush outdoor shots as a foil.

oh, this is kind of unexpected. they've been doing more high powered glamour for the last few campaigns; kate is just as effortless in these shots. would be nice to see some high powered glam on her, but the clothes are so undeniable, this is definitively BRITISH. so, it covers all it's bases and hits all necessary marks.
