Alexander McQueen for MAC Collection

I am really excited about this...and i get paid form work that day .. and my college is right down the road from a mac shop ... its a sign !!!

im asuming it will be the uk mac shop right ?

i am so excited about this, but i agree the colors posted were a bit on the whatever side.

the blues are OK, but those greens aren't for everyone.

I'm only sad these colors are limited-edition; I wish McQueen were going into a long-term partnership, at the least. I think I'll buy 2-3 of everything and preserve the spares... long enough to break the formula.

I totally hear you.

I think I will just choose my favorite color of each item (like one lip stick, one lip glass, one shadow, one liner, etc.) and choose colors that go well together and with my skin but that I'll actually use. I have to resisit the urge to just buy stuff because it looks cool and remember what actually works on my face....will not be easy. Maybe I will use cash and only bring a limited amount...

I can't wait to see the colors on. The colors on their own look really pretty but I'm not sure how much wear I'll get out of them. I have make-up cases full of cool products in hot colors but the truth is I stick with different shades and finishes of neutrals like 97% of the time...how many of you actually wear non-neutral colors on a daily basis?

pinksatin, I know what you mean. Lately I have been branching out and trying a lot of new colors to see what really works for me.

I think some of the stores have the McQueen collection out already...some of the girls at Specktra have already purchased!

I do. Purple, teal, green, pink, silver, etc. A new color every day.

Then I applaud you guys and maybe I need to take baby steps and work on my make up moxie too. I keep reaching for an aqua eyeliner or cobalt shadow with silver sparkle or a more fushia-plum than nudey-pink lipstick. But then I always change my mind and stick with the safe colors. Even though I LOVE playing with fun colors and buying it! Crazy I think. Baby steps . . . Maybe if I some MQ stuff i'll make myself wear it at least once a week....

I LOVE the chartreuse paint pot color!! and the nile is pretty too- but I dont know, I have very bright blue eyes... might not work too well. (when I wear makeup) I tend to wear a lot of plums, pinks, coppers, rusts & orangey tones, makes the blues pop... maybe I will go try it on, give it a go..

So apparently, this collection will only be available at Saks, Nordstrom, MAC stores, and online. It will not be available at Macy's.

And some places are saying it will be released on Oct. 11 instead of Oct. 4, but I'll be checking this Thursday anyway.

^Oh I know! My insider (a friend who is a make up artist at a mac store) said it's pushed back. But when she gets it in she'll put a bunch on hold for her (us ). Can't wait! And I'm going to some winter 08 unveiling party at the store on the 14th for the winter collections.

i called my mac in houston and apparently, every region has different launch dates, so maybe that's how some girls already have it?

they said it launches the 11th, which is a total bummer since i was super excited about tomorrow! i'm so lame!

so whens it going to be released in CA? if it isnt tommorrow, then hopefully it will be the 11th, since ill be in vegas for my bday..yay
