Alexander Wang S/S 2014 New York

The colection was kind of a mess, I loved the surfer/skater girl theme and the colors were great but it was very all over the place and the porpotions and cuts quite stiff. I liked big part of it but the rest was not good.

you have to have a pretty big ego to slap your name on as much stuff as he did...everywhere.

i completely love this show, so much better than last season. everyone looked stunning!

too casual and sporty, and some pieces looked just ill designed. it lacks effort imo....

Perfect show!
Loved the theme, music, setting, all of it!!!
His work with textures and cuts is incredible and he always is true to his own style.

I got some girly sleepover and school uniform vibes - all those short skirts, pajama-like combos and Mary Jane shoes. It did look nice and I especially loved the short suit on Jourdan but most of the collection seems a bit lazy. Like he's saving something better for Paris.

LOVED it.
The whole urban skater girl/surfer thing just worked so well. I mean, I think he's done crop tops and shorts the best thus far this season. I loved the use of pink, which I'm noticing is becoming more noticeable as the season progresses. Idk, but it was just youthful, cool, streetwear. Don't even get my started on how covetable that explicit shirt is going to be next spring/summer.

10 minutes of my life that i'll never get back...yuck!

I kinda got that vibe too! I don't think it was that bad but I don't think it's something he actually thought so much through, just kind of did the first ideas that he thought were cute and attractive, specially the first looks (and those hideous gloves)

I'm glad he returned to his streetwear roots - he and Phillip Lim are the one with the most credibility for the whole 90's trend. I thought the collection was safe, but still very covetable. Loved that Explicit Content sweater, hated the camisole dreses and the gloves; still can't say for sure whether I liked the collection or not, though.

i guess he's trying to create a bigger divide between his look for alexander wang and balenciaga. the conceptual sculptural stuff we will see in paris. this is streetwear.

I think it's good he took a step back, and brought a very wearable collection to the runway this season. I don't think he's going to have a hard time selling any of these clothes...in comparison to last season, where I think the big issue was the silhouettes. Obviously the gloves are going to be the statement piece that people want to wear and get photographed...I think he nailed it IMO.

Of course he would hop on the 90's urban trend. Quite underwelming. While I appreciate the wearability and precision of some sides (the first three looks were great), overall was quite one dimensional and inexpressive. Simplicity really isn't the thing for him. Those gloves were massive styling errors and that Parental Advisory stamp was just dumb.

I actually loved most of it. The collection had a great vibe and I loved the cuts and shapes.

I don't want to pull the B card here but this looks like a poor H&M imitation of NG last Balenciaga collection. In fact this is one of his worst collections, even worse than S/S11.
