Inez and Vindooh and Miesel need to put down the crack pipe. Alice for sure can carry a campaign by herself--for example, the Blumarine Cruise.

Also, why wouldn't a client want a model with fans?? This makes no sense at all. Look how many of us want to go purchase Elle UK just because Alice is in it.

AND why do you think she's going to have 3 Vogue Austrailia Cover's while Abbey Lee Kershaw has only had 1?! It's because ALICE HAS FANS.

Its no secret that red heads compete against other red heads for campaigns and runway spots...

Who are other redheads that we need to worry about

1. Karen Elson--But she's probably too expensive for clients in this economy
2. Coco Rocha--same as above, but totally different from Alice anyway
3. Martha Streck--I'd say she's Alice's biggest competition, but I don't even think she's a red head right now
4. Lily Cole--Really different look, also her career is sort of weird
5. Alice Gibb- CRAPPY ALICE

My point is...CLIENTS NEED TO BOOK ALICE SHE'S THE BEST.

alice is one amazing model!
i just rewatched antm yesterday, and i fell back in love with her (i loved her from the first episode 2 years ago, but after her big succes i kinda got annoyed with her)

and about the photographers-not-booking-alice problem
i think it's unfair, but totally right
i mean, who watches antm? the girls who read elleGirl or tigerBeat and don't even know what ad campaign means, so this way high fashion stays like for the elite only
and if alice starts getting big campaigns, these brands will become like just "some designers that alice posed for"
just look at all those reality tv forums, the members discuss alice's blumarine campaign just like an ordinary test shot, and they don't even understand how much of an honour it is
so my point is, reality tv viewers and people who are interested in fashion [especially those who can afford buying designer clothes] are completely different levels of society
and it's actually making me sad, because alice could EASILY kick those annas' and ymres' ***es

Great news!
Hey everyone. Word has spread about Alice's super edit in Elle UK. Looks like fashion insiders DO read forums! (yeah, you read them :lol:) I must say that the response has been super positive and I can't wait to hear what they think on Monday morning.

In another forum, a poster wrote about Alice's top red-headed competition, but left out the most obvious name of all. Though I consider them to be in the same mould yet quite different, I can say that without a doubt, Iris Strubegger (who is just fantastic) is most often compared to Alice and beat her numerous times for shows in SS09. They actually share quite a similar temperament as well.
I added the super because I wanted to.
It's great to hear the response was so well. I expect great things from Alice! :D

I don't think you can just generalize the audience like that, nor can you generalize who buys fashion.

^I seriously agree. It's kind of demeaning to generalize audiences like that.
Who cares about reality tv forums, when we have TFS to really talk about real fashion.
I don't think that not booking Alice is right, but we have to keep in mind that she's competing against thousands of high calibre models and not just 13 other poseurs.

*and I don't mean to be rude, but since you watch ANTM, does that mean that you're one of those girls that just read ELLEgirl and have no idea what an ad campaign is? If that's the case, I'm happy to generalize you in that category.

oh, that's ok :)
i have to generalize because life is all about generalizing
social interests always go beofre individual interests, if you know what i mean
and of course there are always exceptions, like in this case, us, people interested in high fashion but watching reality tv :D
btw, i watch antm not because of the models, i watch it because i get inspiration as a photographer :)
