You will not see Alice at Couture or Berlin. She will show up at Copenhagen. I can confirm that she is in Sonia Rykiel.

Such a shame, another Couture season goes pass, and she is just perfect for it. Wonder what happened though.

i don't think she could have done well at Couture. if you go through the collections, you'll see seas of blondes, a few brunettes and the few token ethnic models. no striking redheads.

should she consider going Nicole Kidman and dye her hair blonde, then maybe. fashion shows are overrun by leggy eastern european blondes. she'd lose her uniqueness, but i guess that's what casting people are going for.

to share a runway with Jennifer Hawkins these models were willing to give
it a go yesterday.

About 200 turned out at a casting call for Myer's autumn/winter parade,
which will take place during the L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Only 30 will get the call-up. Former Next Top Model winner Alice Burdeu,
who stars alongside Hawkins in Myer's latest print campaign, is already
booked for the show. Myer spokesman Mitch Catlin said the parade would
not be without surprises. "We are looking at incorporating a whole lot of
new technology into the parade," he said. "There will be a variation of a
catwalk." Myer has this year changed the focus of its launch, taking it
directly to customers by committing Hawkins to in-store shows in Sydney,
Perth, Brisbane and Adelaide.

I keep going through elite's showcards and I get a bit sad that I can't find hers. Is she not walking NY this season?

I mean she may not have had her best season but I still think she deserved a showcard.

Word from industry sources has just arrived that Alice may not be doing NY this fw09/10. While we are still weeks away from one of the biggest and important seasons in recent memory, Alice seems to have dissapeared of the fashion radar completely. When I quizzed a prominent NY designer who Alice has walked for, he asked me who I was talking about. If we do not see her in the coming months, I will be bitterly dissapointed, as I find her sorely under-rated and her absence will be dearly felt. Is she studying again this year? Who knows. Perhaps this could be great for her, going away and then coming back as an in-demand again.

If anybody is able to get any information as to what she intends to do, please let this forum know. Unfortunately, her booker is ignoring my calls. Perhaps he has figured out who I am and this alias is no longer one so viable.

This seems odd. I'd say it wouldn't matter if she were younger but isn't she already 21? And it's not as if her first two seasons were terrible, she did quite well considering she was a complete newbie, already has two print campaigns for great brands under her belt and just had an amazing ed published. So it can't be from a lack of work...

Oh my god...I seriously cannot believe why she doesn't have a showcard for this upcoming FW09 season...this is so sad.....I really hope that she'll turn up surprisingly....like what some of you have said....its not as if she did terrible for her 2nd season.....I was already having high hopes for her return for this Fall 09 but it looks like things may have changed for her......what is really going on with this world??!!! PLEASE COME BACK ALICE FOR FW09!!!

I can't not see her doing New York unless she'll be making more money doing something else or unless she doesn't want to.

I only post the "stuff" that Ozboy posts. He's a well respected veteran in the industry. I believe him. You can believe what you want, I don't care. I think Alice is just skipping NY, not Europe. She's never done THAT well in NY. Alice is a big girl, she knows what she's doing.

Anyway, I think Alice's vogue cover is coming out soon! I can't wait .

Relax!! It's not the end of the world. There was a post mentioned that she's going to have an exclusive, so most probably that's why she doesn't have a showcard. If her exclusive is shown in NY during the last day, or in Milan or Paris, that means she cannot do any other shows before that. If that's the case, why in the world would she need a showcard.

Anyways, if she wanna continue her studies, I'm all for it. You can't be a model your whole life you know. So, let's all take a deep breath and just wait until fashion week come, OK?

There's probably an explanation for all of this. We can speculate all day, but at the end of the day we're still not going to know what happened or what's going to happen. We just need to have patience, I think.
