Alice Burdeu

TBH i love alice but compare to her debut on ny she's looking a bit old, and her proportions in not that good..look at her hips :(

sad but true... although the makeup and hair for that show aged all of the girls...

It is LONG past time for Alice to leave Elite. They are a shell of an agency having dropped the ball too many times to count on amazing girls who left and went on to blow up with better management, hello Joan Smalls. Do the right thing for your career Alice asap.

I'm so behind the times ... can someone please explain to me (or point me in the direction of another thread to view / have this conversation) about why so many of Elite's girls have gone on to other agencies? I've noticed a lot of their Elite+ girls have moved, is it because Micki Schneider left? ... someone please fill me in ... cheers, SC

A number of key agents left Elite: Richard Habberley to DNA, Doll Wright to Ford, Micki Schneider to Wilhelmina. Maybe others? But anyway, many models followed suit although some have sought other representation. Elite+ is gone (maybe because they no longer have many stars anymore) and even now the NY website seems to be down for construction.

I'm not really expecting Alice to switch agencies until she ever decides to make a full comeback internationally. I hope last season didn't knock the wind out of her sails.

Just read this whole thread as I'm really really REALLY hoping to book Alice for our next season campaign. Reading this though, I worry we're too small for her. She deserves Miu Miu or something.

thanks so much saucer-like, I appreciate it ... was there a particular reason they left & in your opinion can Elite survive? apols if this is the wrong thread for such a discussion ... cheers, SC

btw... thought you'd all appreciate this: http://www.theloveofmyeyes.com/

I think Alice looks as good as ever! She has star quality written all over her and could still really hit top model status if she ever chooses to go after it.

I have seen any further details on the situation, so I'm assuming it came down to $$$.

I'll keep it short as to not stray too far: They could get somewhere if they continue developing new faces and managed to keep them from leaving for greener pastures (commonplace, but Elite in particular seems to really suffer from it). They really need to fix up their image and get someone at the helm to make it happen. I seem to recall Ford being in a similar position (viewed as a relic of the supermodel era but with little influence in the contemporary industry) until they got Paul Rowland.

Oh too late to edit, that should be "have not seen any further details.." :P
