Alice Burdeu Reports: One Toenail Down, Another to Follow Suit?

One of my biggest aggravations are male models. They are the worst, always clustered, talking together in the front of the room during castings making it impossible to get a clear idea of who is next. Damn, ego-driven bastards.

Meeting casting directors and designers you’ve worked with before also brings back hilarious and cringe worthy memories, like falling over at fittings and putting dresses on backwards. Note to self: look for labels

By the time I get home I am exhausted as are the 11 other girls I’m currently living with. Cockroaches are the number one topic of conversation. A couple of girls are actually clinically phobic over them but to be honest, I couldn’t care less! As long as they don’t sleep in my bed. I’m Australian and there are far worse creatures you could be living with… just go camping in my home country!!

By the end of my first day of castings I have lost a toe nail on my left foot thanks to my new impossibly high but sexy heels and I have serious suspicions my middle toe on my right foot is thinking of following suit. I am exhausted and it is only the beginning, but I’m in luck -- I have my bed to myself! The roaches have left me in peace!!


She is so funny! She fell 3 times at the casting for Proenza Schouler, and they still picked her! (last season)

Kit Willow Michelmore might be ditching New York’s official schedule this season, not to mention a traditional runway show, but according to a press release sent out this morning, she has managed to secure an Oz mod lineup to rival even Marc Jacobs for her static presentation which is due to take place at 3.30am Friday AEST: Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Alice Burdeu and Stephanie Carta
