ok...so i was just lookin at alice's runway pics...
and was compairing her look last season to this season!

fw08

her hair was longer and a deeper red
she had eye brows


SS09
she has a fringe, and the colour is much lighter..and tends to look orange..
and she has very light eyebrows...

which look do you guys prefer... i just wanna see how many people..chose fw08 over ss09...and their reasons for doing so..coz maybe we might try to understand the reason why she didnt have such a great season as her first.

thanks for doing this birth.of.mode, it is so much easier to see differences with pictures. i knew there was something wack with her eyebrows this season but sometimes they were bleached, other times they were pencilled on... i couldn't see what was going on!

i much prefer her darker auburn hair than the orange-strawberry blonde variety. whilst i think she can look good with the no eyebrows thing it is a little contrived, as is the fringe, like she was trying to tick boxes on a model checklist. Edgy Eyebrows, Scenester Front Fringe, Noticeable Orange Hair Dye... She should just stick to her elegant, collected self. As it showed in FW 08 many designers are leaning towards classic good looks, which Alice has in spades.

and i would have to chose fw08 too...it just compliments her complexion so much more than that orange hair...
and alice doesn't need thee fringe...shez edgy enough!! it just makes her look shaggy...specially at lacroix!
and no eyebrows make her look older.. and penciled ones just look a bit trashy.. her eyebrows in fw08 were perfect..not to dark..not to light!
she looks classic at d&g...

i wish someone from elite would read this forum...maybe they'd get an idea abt how to succesfully promote their client..sure..she has been getting decent eds...but if she would just stick to her dark red hair... i'm sure she would get a VI ed soon!!

I agree with you completely!

I heard that her new booker at Elite wanted to do a makeover on her and it bombed. It's a shame that her momentum died with such swiftness through this one dumb management mistake!

Sometimes change for the sake of change isn't so smart...

I love Alice and hope she has more say in how the agency markets her. Doing so will be her only safeguard on the road to further future success.

I just went through Alice's thread (yes, all 122 pages) and I have some questions

- In the beginning of this thread somebody said that 5 agencies wanted Alice and Elite "got her".
- Which 5 agencies?
- I still don't know why she skipped Milan. A campaign? An ed? I want to know!
- Can somebody give me her phone number? lol
- In this video Napoleon says that she was in Paris where she shot the Dolce & Gabbana campaign with Meisel.
- Is he totally wrong or.. ?

i think those agencies were...mentioned somewhere in this thread.. or in her ausntm livejournal one...
the ones i remember are...elite...next..marylin and i don't remember the other two..
but if i had to guess.. i would say NYMM or Supreme(she looks like a supreme sort of girl)..but i really wish she would have signed up with somethin like img or women!!

I don't think he's so dumb that he would mess up the photographer AND the location. Especially not somebody as famous as Testino! And her D&G ad was shot in London and he said Paris

This video was aired in July, and if I remember it well, I think her D&G ad came out in July. And the ad is always shot a few months before it comes out.

I guess only time will tell But if it IS true.. it would be great!
