please note, all double posted pictures will be edited..
carefully go through tFS thread(s) before posting any new pictures.

It seems like its the high waist belt season...I dont see much low waist ( hip level) belts in the new ss06.

No one can doubt that it was the Yves Saint Laurent belt from Fall 05 that really catapulted the wide belt into the spotlight. It has been used in COUNTLESS editorials over the past 6 months. I'm sure that this style is well on its way to mainstream shops.

Personally I  the look of the wide belt, or any belt worn at the natural waist or above. My guess is that the boho, hip slung belts are over like last year's Uggs.

MAKE SURE to check out vintage stores before you go out and spend all your cash on a designer belt. I've picked up scores of cool, one-of-a-kind belts from the 60's-90's at my local second hand shops for a dollar a piece. Besides, most of the belts that have been posted here look like they were directly inspired by the funky 80's styles that we all gagged at a few years ago.

...how things change.

DEFINITELY check the vintage stores first , that is what I always do when I want a new belt. I bought a high waist belt the other day but I'm a vegetarian and I stupidly didn't realise it was real leather till I got home so now I feel uncomfortable wearing it.

I understand your dillema but you can always feel better about wearing second hand leather to extend the lifecycle of that piece.

Fantastic pictures, Desire! Is this a trend only for women, or also for men?
