to Dija,
if you want to branch into something higher end, jewelry would be an easy transition for you. it's very similar to selling eye ware (it's all about how it makes the customer look and feel, and it's pretty easy to sell). most places here in ontario will hire you without experience. look at ben moss (although i worked for them and didn't like it, i think it was just a bad manager at my location), charm, peoples, etc.. whatever is in your mall. most places don't require jewelry experience, and are only looking for a successful track record (which of course you can lie about on a resume). the jobs don't pay much at shops in malls (you'd have to work at cartier, birks, etc.. to make money), but it's a great way to get experience dealing with high valued merchandise (as most shops will carry diamond pieces up to 20k). from there, it will be much easier to get into high end fashion and accesories. but i agree with everyone here... places like holts won't hire you with no fashion experience at all. try and get into something small but where you have room to grow.
