Yeah, they like to play things like the grammy's in "prime time" which is from 8pm-10pm so they tape it and play it later. I just saw her win best song for rehab.

finally saw it...love those back up singers/dancers

i'm off to bed...

and btw...that expression on her face when she won record of the year...priceless...

what a tumultuous year! I too hope she gets herself together. She's too talented to go out due to hard times. I like what chaka khan said,
"She's walking her walk. We all have a walk in life, we have hard and difficult times and going through that chaos often leads to clarity." — Chaka Khan on Amy Winehouse.

I'm so happy she won 5 grammy  :buzz:. She looks much better. And i loved her expression when she learned a grammy (i don't know which category it was :D. I just saw the vid on tv).

Hopefully, seeing how respected and loved she is by her peers and the listening public will inspire her to get better and keep making ah-mazing music. :flower:

Yeah,I also loved how her band of guys just gathered around her and her crowd were chanting 'Amy,Amy,Amy' when she won "Song of the Year"....priceless:flower:!

yep, it was good to see that she is supported.

Natalie Cole said that she didn't think Amy should win because it's like rewarding bad behavior. I see what she is saying but at some point you have to separate the art work from the life of the artist. the album speaks for itself. But I guess as a former addict herself, Cole sees the sad irony of Amy winning for a song in which art reflects reality and she blatantly states that she doesn't want to go to rehab when she so desperately needs it....

^Good point,Natalie speaks candidly always especially about drugs. As she said once 'lots of us were functioning addicts' back in the day and how strangely bad it was for them personally b/c of all the great things professionally. Its like your on a plane or something, you can't see the reality through all the fluff. Anyhow I hope she gets it together like both Natalie & Chaka have b/c they know what she's going through.

Amy dedicates Grammys win to Blake

Amy Winehouse dedicates Grammys win to 'Blake, my incarcerated' after scooping FIVE awards
Amy Winehouse put her troubles behind her to win five Grammy awards, dedicating her success to her imprisoned husband, her family - and London's blaze-hit Camden Market.
Winehouse was the outstanding performer at the awards, the biggest night in the rock and pop calendar.

Triumph: Amy Winehouse took home five Grammy awards at last night's ceremony
She won in five of the six categories in which she was nominated, picking up record of the year, best new artist, best song of the year, best pop vocal album for Back to Black and best female pop vocal.
The awards follow a traumatic year for Winehouse, 24, who has fought heroin and crack addiction while enduring a forced separation from her husband Blake Fielder-Civil, currently in jail awaiting trial on a number of charges.
In one speech, she also thanked her parents for standing by her, and expressed sadness over the blaze in Camden which destroyed her favourite pub, among other buildings.

Thrilled: The troubled singer, who performed at the awards via satellite, celebrates her win
As she collected record of the year for Rehab, Winehouse, said: “This is to my mum and dad - for my Blake incarcerated. And to London, this is for London because Camden Town is burning down.”
Her only defeat came in the prized album of the year category, which went to Herbie Hancock for his album River: The Joni Letters. Elsewhere she swept the board.
Winehouse was unable to attend the Los Angeles event in person after failing to secure a work visa to travel to the United States until late on Friday - too late to change her plans.

Emotional: Janis congratulates her tearful daughter

Support: Amy Winehouse was joined by her parents Janis and Mitch
But she appeared via a live satellite link from London, performing electrifying versions of her hits Rehab and I'm No Good in front of a small crowd at a recording studio.
Pop singer Cyndi Lauper — who won best new artist in 1985 - jumped for joy as she announced Winehouse's first win of the evening for best new artist.
The 50th Grammy Awards, broadcast from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles, also featured memorable performances from Beyoncé and Tina Turner, Rhianna, Alicia Keys, The Foo Fighters, Aretha Franklin and veteran rock'n' rollers Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis.

On song: Amy performed You Know I'm No Good and Rehab from her album Back To Black

Re-fab: Amy, who had her missing tooth replaced last week, looked a picture of health
