It seems a few weeks in the sun for Amy Winehouse is working wonders for both.The 25-year-old singer of such hits as Rehab has gained some much-needed nourishment on her Caribbean break - and also a healthy looking new boyfriend.

The singer has started up an unlikely romance with a strapping young public-school educated actor.

The pair were pictured in a warm embrace on a Caribbean beach yesterday.
Joshua Bowman, 21, has spent the past year busking for work in New York after 'wanting to get out of London' following his private education at Wellington College in Berkshire, where boarding fees are £26,000 a year.

Mr Bowman, who counts rugby international Danny Cipriani among his friends, said yesterday that he met Miss Winehouse while holidaying on the island of St Lucia.
The couple soon struck up a close friendship and will remain there for another week.
Mr Bowman said: 'She's just a cool girl, very nice, and we're just very friendly. She's a good laugh - she is such a lovely girl and on great form.
'I can't say much more than that. I have been having a lovely time relaxing. It's not been all party-party. I don't drink much at all as it happens.
'It's true to say that I'm a budding young actor. But I'd rather get my name out there because of my acting rather than who I'm being photographed with. I wasn't waiting until there was a photographer on the beach to put my arm around Amy.

'I have been living in New York for the past year and have only just arrived back in the UK. I am just auditioning.
'I love the industry and I let's see what happened in the future. I haven't really done too much - just bits for TV but nothing major at all. Just bit parts at the moment. I am definitely not going to bring up as evidence of my acting credentials the sh***y stuff that I have done so far.'
He added: 'I'm not a typical public school boy. I have a very eclectic mix of friends and I don't like to be pigeonholed like that.'
Mr Bowman has spent the past year on the books of a New York acting agency, Gersch, studying method acting at the Lee Strasburg Institute and 'networking'.
His 23-year-old sister Scarlet Bowman is trying to get into TV presenting. Their parents have separated.
Cavorting on the beach in a bikini top, Amy Winehouse looked healthier than she has in years in the arms of Mr Bowman. The pair relaxed in each other's arms and Mr Bowman happily rubbed suntan lotion on the singer's back.

A smitten Amy Winehouse serenaded her new man with a song about love as she gave an impromptu performance in a Caribbean hotel bar while on holiday in St Lucia.
Aspiring actor Joshua Bowman was among 30 people in the bar when Amy suddenly decided to belt out a few tunes while accompanying herself on the piano.
Clearly keen to impress her clean-cut new beau, the 25-year-old singer of hit Rehab exercised her vocal chords, as her fellow guests listened intently.

' As soon as she finished playing she rushed over to Josh and was hugging and kissing him,' said a guest at the beach-front hotel in St Lucia.
'Her voice was amazing. Everyone in the bar was amazed to hear her. She sang a few songs and looked to be really enjoying herself.
'Josh was obviously impressed. They were all over each other once she had finished singing, although they quickly moved outside to the terrace.'
Amy's friend Blake Wood was also in the bar to watch the singer as she showed off her much-heralded talent.

Blake files for divorce as Amy declares: 'I'm in love again and off drugs'

Jailbird Blake Fielder-Civil has instructed a lawyer to begin divorce proceedings against Amy Winehouse after seeing pictures of the singer cavorting with another man in the Caribbean.
Celebrity lawyer Henri Brandman told MailOnline that Blake had instructed him to launch the action on the grounds of Amy's adultery. It is thought that Blake will go for half of Amy's £10 million fortune.
The move comes as loved-up Amy told a Sunday newspaper that she has finally kicked her drug habit. The star also admitted that she had 'forgotten I'm even married' to Blake, claiming 'our whole marriage was based on doing d***s'.

The Back To Black singer is enjoying an extended Caribbean break on the paradise island of St Lucia and has been photographed kissing and cuddling 21-year-old Josh Bowman.
She told the News of the World that she was off d***s for good and that public schoolboy Josh was her new d**g.
Contrary to earlier reports that she was waiting for Blake to join her on the island, the singer told the newspaper: "I love it here and have never felt so happy.

"In fact, I don't think I'm ever going home.

"Especially as I met Josh here. He couldn't be more different from my husband, which isn't a bad thing."
She also branded Blake 'rubbish in bed', adding, 'Almost every time I slept with him it was like I was dead'.

During her stay at the luxury Le Sport resort in St Lucia, Amy told the newspaper how pictures of her at the height of her d**g addiction had 'horrified' her.
"My skin was a spotty mess and I was so pale and skinny. I thought to myself, 'Girl, you got to sort yourself out or you'll be dead soon.'
"I was depressed, doing d***s and had no life in me at all. Coming here has changed everything."
Amy and Blake married in May 2007 in a surprise ceremony in the less-than-glamorous Miami-Dade County marriage licence bureau in Florida. The union angered Amy's parents, Mitch and Janis.
A series of setbacks then followed, with Blake being jailed for assault and trial fixing and Amy being filmed allegedly smoking "stuff". She has also been in and out of hospital after suffering what her representatives described as allergic reactions to prescription d***s.
In December, Blake was sent back to jail - where he remains - having failed a d***s test.
