It's the styling she had awful/edgy makeup/hair/clothes 'back in the day' , she did a complete image overhaul and dyed her hair a more flattering colour , had more flattering makeup , changed her eyebrows , hair etc

No I do feel you on that B) it was indeed an overhaul... (public) personality and style. I found her more striking and intriguing personally , but how you wear yourself on the outside says something about yourself inside so the transformation was deep. She's far more appealing to a wider selection of people these days because she's more neutral. You know? That's just how the cookie crumbles... I enjoyed relating to someone in the media, that's all.

Whilst i do agree that perceptions of beauty are different, and do know numerous people who don't rate her looks as highly as others (each to their own), i don't think the 'over time' argument is relevant because the same could be said of icons of the past if they lived today. if monroe lived today, in todays fashion/styling, perhaps she would be considered just another pretty blonde, but nothing remarkable? who knows.

but she fit her time and the style beautifully.
like when angie got her image in the 90s, people say she was 'edgy' but it was a lot of the style of the time. her looks somewhat fit that time too. i think there are very few people who are timeless. i don't think monroe or hepburn are particularly timeless either (and i don't really think hepburn was 'conventional', she redefined beauty for her time, which people do in all generations)

tbh, i don't think convential or unconvential really exists with beauty, it is all subjective and depends on the culture etc

Not true at all. There are many people - men and women - who truly find her beauty to be terribly overrated (and, truth be told, it is). At any rate, she isn't a timeless or a classic beauty.

Perceptions of female beauty and the feminine physique change over the course of time. She really isn't conventionally pretty at all in the slightest, and half a century ago when people were worshipping Monroe and Hepburn and Kelly, Angelina would have found it very difficult to have made it.

The dress is beautiful as it fits her perfectly, love the full-zipper back and that red is gorgeous against her fair complexion. Her hair color looks great as well, love the auburn tone for winter. She's utter perfection.

Love the new hair! That blonde was just too washed out. It seems like the blonde (dry) highlights took a loot of red color. It almost looks like she did red/brownish higlights. I think we have a "snap" moment here!
