I adore Angelina. I am a little surprised by this announcement, but if she's happy that's all that matters.

i think if it wasn't for her fame, Jennifer wouldn't be as appealing if she was your average next door neighbor. yeah, she's attractive but she wouldn't grab the same amount of attention not being a celebrity. JMO.

But now Angelina Jolie has confirmed Hollywood's worst kept secret - she and Brad Pitt are an item and they're expecting a baby this summer. Currently filming The Good Shepherd in the Dominican Republic, the screen beauty was overheard telling a charity worker: "Yes, I'm pregnant".

After Angelina's casual announcement, the heart-throb's publicist, Cindy Guagenti, made an official response admitting the news. The Oscar-winning star, who met Brad on the set of the 2004 movie Mr & Mrs Smith, seems to have been trying to hide her pregnancy by wearing baggy clothes. A picture on the front of US magazine People shows her with a pronounced bump, however.

The couple are said to have broken the news to Brad's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston.

Last month the Lara Croft actress reportedly had a scan at St John's Hospital Health Centre in California. Around that time Brad also filed papers to adopt her two older children - Maddox, four, and one-year-old Zahara.

A trip down the aisle may not be too far off either, as shortly afterwards the Ocean's Eleven star was spotted buying vintage Cartier wedding rings during a motorbike trip to a Beverly Hills jeweller.

The 42-year-old hunk has clearly reached a time in his life when he's ready to settle down, as he admitted in a recent interview: "I'll say it - kids, family, I am thinking family. Little girls, they crush me - they break my heart."

I have heard reports that the baby is due in the summer, but laineygossip.com says it could be due as early as May. This is obviously why they were being so secretive, she got pregnant pretty quick!
