Anita Pallenberg

I did watch part of Candy some time back, but couldn't sit through it all. It wasn't my cup of tea. Very strange, very 60s. A lot of well know actors were in this, and isn't it a takeoff from Terry Southern's book? and he may have directed it, can't remember. I think her best film was Performance (of course). Dillinger is Dead she looked ravishing but it was in Italian. I did capture some great screen shots and it really wasn't as bad to sit thru as Degree of Murder and Barbarella, where I was begging for the ending. I love the photo above, Nico.

^^The only movies featuring Anita Pallenberg that I enjoyed was "Performance" and "Barbarella". Sorry to say, but I never thought that Anita was a very good actress. I think her worst performance is from the movie "Degree Of Murder". She gives a wooden performance and does not seem very natural as far as her acting goes. Actually it is terrible. I would say though that she was good as the Black Queen in "Barbarella". This role fits her like a glove. As for "Performance", well, she does play "herself".... So...

thanks for all the photographs, I truly appreciate them.
unfortunately,there's not much left to post for me... (y'all know about the difficulty of getting yet unseen pics of anita - I'd like to spank all those blockheaded 60s/70s photographers for not having taken more pics of her)
however, I've managed to find a few pics over the last couple of days - they're all rather tiny,though.

booze,drugs,boredom - after all those years on tour, she couldn't handle leading a "normal" life.
plus,you (practically always) start to gain weight when you get off heroin.

although it's not a big surprise regarding the facts, I'm still shocked with anita's physical change between '73 and '77 - IMO she looked GORGEOUS at court (heroin chic,but still ---); on the family portrait from '77 she seemed to have grown 20 years older.....
ah well, I'm glad she's overcome the self-destroy and is content with her life.
